Serena’s POV Adam leads me down a side street, and it doesn’t take long before the crowds on Rodeo Drive thin out. The alley is empty, dark, and unsettlingly quiet. My instincts scream for me to turn back, but before I can say anything, Adam rounds on me, his face twisted with anger. “What the hell was that, Serena?” he snaps, his voice low but vibrating with fury. I blink, thrown off by the intensity in his eyes. “What are you talking about?”

Adam was keen to know who exactly it was he was looking for. After he had finished drinking the last wine in his glass, he went back inside and into his room. Adam removed his shirt and then flung it on the couch in his apartment. He was making his way toward the cabinet in his room, where he kept some of his weapons. Adam hasn't made use of these weapons in quite some time. He pulled out his katana and stood there staring at it. Since Adam started working at SS Entertainment, Alister has taken the role of him and his organization as the person most responsible for it.

" Beta Adam explained, looking a little sad. "Oh, I wasn't aware you were going through such things, Adam. I'm so sorry," Serena apologized, feeling for him. "It must have been so hard being far from your mate. I'm glad you are going to her soon. I know the complications of being far from one's mate, I understand, and I'm no longer mad at you." Serena flashed him a smile. Adam returned it gladly. "But I want one thing. I hope I will be able to meet her one day. I've never seen a vampire. I've just heard about them. The young woman, Sera introduces herself. "Sera...not your actual name, is it?" I ask knowingly. "Well, you can consider it a codename. But my name is Seraphine." Sera replied with a casual shrug. "How come you get to be Sera?" I could not help the question. Sera laughs quietly at that, shrugging slightly. "It was either that or Top(II). I'm Seraphine Vega, the Beta Healer. You've met my not so better half, Beta Warrior, Top... Cedric." Sera calmly stated.

Sera clung to Karim when they got into the car. Her mother’s power was still very recent in her. Something very strong that when received, almost fainted.
