My face must have conveyed my displeasure at their presence, which made Addison's face fall, her steps faltering, but her chin was still held high in the air.
"What are y'all doing here? Training is over there." My face was emotionless as I jutted my chin in the direction of the ongoing training where the women were paid according to their speed and strength.
"I'm sorry, but I didn't realize coming over to say 'hi' to the love of my life and friends was considered a crime," Addison said softly, but her eyes were glaring daggers at me.
"You shouldn't be here, Addie. I don't appreciate you trying to go against my orders." I said calmly, but my eyes were hard and cold like frozen pebbles.
