Addy grimaced and followed her through the door. The woman walked by the reception desk without acknowledging the dark-haired woman sitting behind it. The woman nodded at her, then sighed and turned back to Addy. “May I help you?” she asked with a friendly smile. “I’m Addison Reynolds, and I’m starting today in the atelier,” Addy told her. “I like your necklace.” “Thanks,” the woman said, smiling as she reached up to touch the pendant on the gold chain. The smile faded from the woman’s face as she stared at Addy for a moment.

I watch him speed walk down the stairs before going into the room. Addison was skimming through one of her favorite magazines while lying on the bed on her stomach and her feet swaying behind her, when I went inside. "Pass me by phone. It's on the vanity table," she tells me as it rings. I went to put down her breakfast and ran for the phone, handing it to her. I stood at the window, waiting for her to finish her phone call, and see if she wanted anything else with me before leaving. It's baffling. Adom takes a deep breath as Alexander pulls up to his apartment complex, parking across from the entrance. He steps out and waits as Alexander pulls his duffle bag out of the trunk. They walked up a second street and then Mitch knocked at a medium-sized bungalow. The window curtain moved and a shrill voice yelled, "It's Alpha-daddy!!" Mitch chucked. "We are going to have to change that term," He muttered as he waited for the door to be opened. After a couple of seconds of fumbling with the door, it swung open and Addison stood behind it with a big smile on her face. She raised her hand and Mitch scooped her up and buried his face in her cheek. She giggled as the bristles poked her skin.

"They went bankrupt, so we got a good deal. We liquidated everything--the building, the supplies, the staff. Do you have my mail, Michael?" Addison looks between the two of us as I hand Mr. Wright his stack of letters and magazines. She doesn't laugh or smile like that bastard Adam does as I do this. If anything, she looks a little sad. "That's...unfortunate," she eventually says, her gaze full of pity. "Is there any way to make sure he's working on another floor?" Her tone is neutral and professional, but her words sting like a slap. "Addy...I..."

About an hour later, Adam and were done with cooking and setting the table, I went to the living room to call Sally but found her sleeping on the couch, Her forehead was sweating despite the chilly weather, I felt her temperature and noticed that it was higher than average, I went back to the kitchen "Where is Sally?" Adam asked "She is running a fever and is sleeping, I will park some food we will eat from home, we are leaving" I told him "That's sad, I was looking forward to getting to know her" Adam then helped me parking some food and while he carried it to the car, I went and carried Sally careful not to wake her up and took her to the car outside, I then parked her wheelchair
