It's been a week now since Stephen has slipped into a coma. Adrian thought as he paced in front of the lined dummy for sparring, getting ready to start. He swung his long sword repeatedly, cutting through thin air. Adrian moved smoothly with the longsword in his hands, the thought that Stephen’s men had decided to lounge about in his absence ignited his exasperation as he hit the dummy repeatedly, instilling more energy than necessary, making him seem as if he was battling with a living, breathing person he wished to destroy. The fact that he had no control over them vexed him the more.

Adrian, completely unfazed by my threat, simply grinned—like a kid who had just discovered his new favorite toy. “Oh, come on, Freya.” He leaned his elbows on the counter, bringing his face closer as if this were the juiciest gossip of the century. “Do you really not know who he is?” I rolled my eyes. “He’s a former convict who happens to have a lot of money. That’s it.” Adrian let out a laugh, like I had just said the dumbest thing in the world. “Freya, Freya…” He shook his head, looking at me with this irritatingly pitying expression. “You really do live under a rock, huh?”

"Just so you know, my name is Henry, a former beta of the Lycan Pack, and I want you to remember that I am watching you. If you dare do anything stupid to Sierra, I will make sure you regret it all. Not only that, but you will despise everything about yourself and realize that you are not fit to be a Luna, not only in the ghost pack but in every pack," I warned sternly. A small framed photograph of my parents had been tied to my bouquet with a pale ribbon. I touched it once before walking out. “Ready?” Ellen asked. I looked toward the doors leading to the garden. “Yes,” I said. And I was. The music began… the doors opened… everyone stood. For a second, I saw only light. Then… Adrian. He stood at the altar in a black suit, his expression controlled for exactly three seconds. Then he saw me properly, and his face changed. That was my favorite thing about him. The world knew Adrian Shepard as cold, ruthless, brilliant, impossible to read. But I knew the exact moment his heart reached his face.

Liam: “I used to be able to look you in the eye. I used to be able to understand what you were trying to say without you saying it, but I cannot do that anymore, Liam. I cannot find myself being able to look you in the eye and understanding anything that you're saying. Because I don't know whether or not you're telling me the truth. I don't know how deep your manipulation started running.” She said, looking away from me. “I can't do this anymore. I am trying to hold strong, but it is only for the sake of our daughter. But don't ask more of me because I cannot offer it.”

I ask her. "Oh, you already met him yesterday." She says, taking her fork to eat her breakfast. "Ohhhh. I never got his name though." I answer, getting mine too. I can't wait to eat her famous maple syrup bacon with egg and ketchup omelet. Plus white milk or orange juice for preference. "His name is Adrian, 22 years old, and works at his small company to find homes for animals." She tells, taking a bite of her food as I nodded from yesterday's event.

He saw her earlier with Mrs Morgan but didn't know what they were discussing and he wasn't suspicious as well since they were like mother and daughter. Mrs Morgan was one of the trusted security agents and she was the oldest in the house. But now, he believed her disappearance had everything to do with her. Anthony stepped out of the room and shut the door. After searching everywhere including where he searched before, he made up his mind to question Mrs Morgan. ********** Trevor stuttered and a wide grin was plastered on his face as he lay sprawled on the floor with 10 bottles of bourbon and whiskey beside him. “She never wanted this. The risk of real failure.” “She will not stop trying.” “No.” His voice grows hard. “Neither will Richard. Neither will...” “Daniel.” I finish. “He will not stay gone. He never does.” Evening comes. Adrian works on the wiped, untraceable laptop. It connects through relays I do not understand. His focus is total. His fingers move with the same precision he once used for corporate strategy, now aimed at something different. He looks beautiful like this. I let myself feel the attraction mixed with respect. I am seeing his competence in a new world.

Caitlin grabbed a chair and sat down adjacent to me, her bare thighs squashing down onto the seat as she folded her ankles and leaned back. She gestured with her hand to let me continue, almost impatiently and I cocked an eyebrow at her with a small smile. This woman… "If," I emphasised. "You're willing. Your target would be Lucas Trevino, software engineer and owner of Godfather nightclub." I paused for her reaction and she simply just nodded her head waiting for me to continue.
