I fold my legs beneath me, and bring out my phone. A book can keep my awake so I surf the internet. Quickly I see a lot of fantasy books, but I’ve never really gravitated towards those. I don’t know what pushes me though. Maybe I’m just tired of being oblivious or my mother’s thesis, or the strange recurrences, I click on the first book I see and buy it. It takes only a second. I scroll past the forward and settle on the first chapter.

The book I picked up was one of their favorites, “Adventures in the Fantasy World.” I started to open the first page while looking at the children. “So, tonight’s story is about a brave prince who went to a magical world to save a kidnapped princess,” I said, trying to get their attention. “Do you want to tell it now, Mom?” Adney asked, his voice full of enthusiasm.

I wandered through the aisles, running my fingers along the spines, feeling a sense of belonging I hadn't felt in a long time. I spent the whole day there, completely lost among the books, reading story after story until I lost track of time. One book caught my attention "The Adventures of Sir Flufftail" a ridiculous but absolutely hilarious story about a brave and very dramatic rabbit knight who went on quests to save stolen carrot cakes from mischievous squirrels.
