Finally she opened the bag and it had a tomato and avocado sandwich, a bottle of ginger ale and a huge cookie inside of it. She smiled, at first this didn't have her boss written all over it but now it did. He was trying to woo her, being undeniably sweet—she didn't like that, whatever game he was playing was working as she took a seat and took a bite of her cookie, letting out a moan as it melted straight into her mouth with the fudge-y insides dancing with her taste buds. It was merely a coincidence as there was no way he knew her favorite cookie was the warm fudge with marshmallow toasted on it.

She felt eyes on her and she peered up to met the eyes of the boy. “What would you like with that?” He asked pointing below the glass shelf that had many displays of cakes and pastries. There were so many watering snacks to pick from that it made Maria indecisive. “I’d recommend the chocolate cookie,” He pointed to the one in front of her. “It’s a personal favorite of mine.” The cookie was in two layers with toppings on top and cream on top. It looked absolutely delicious and her mouth watered. The boy handed her one on a plate and said, “We allow new customers to try our snacks before buying one.”

“Thanks.” We headed over to the ceramic container that was clearly labeled cookies. Upon closer inspection, the smaller writing beneath read “AKA Weston’s drops of sugary goodness. Eat at your own risk.” I laughed, knowing it was probably Sophie herself who had purchased it. Reaching in, I brought out two cookies, one for me and Sophie to split, and one for Ari.

I hear a growl, and we look over. Tyler is trying to get himself a cookie.

“Let’s go before she drags us there by force.” We end up at a little neon-lit shop on the corner, sticky floors and rainbow sprinkles everywhere. Kenzie orders something violently pink with gummy worms sticking out. Claire gets mint chocolate chip, Aaron orders plain vanilla—of course he does—and I go for cookies and cream, which immediately wins me “coolest grown-up” status with Kenzie.

Charlotte POV: "Do you think I made enough cookies?" I stared at the piles and piles of freshly baked cookies that were covering every inch of the counter. I made a small variety of shortbread, chocolate chip macadamia cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and macadamia cookies. The chocolate chips and nuts sunk deeply into the soft, baked dough, making sure that the eater had a taste of them with each and every bite. "If Timothy stops eatin' them they'll be more than enough." Raven sneered.
