I said to her and she took a deep breath.
“Okay.”
She closed her eyes, and we all watched her. I understood her right now. There was pressure on her for this to work, and it could be overwhelming. But she was trying to relax. As she opened her eyes again, there was a ring of light brown around her normally blue eyes.
“Your eye colour changed. There’s brown mixed in there now.” I said to her, hoping it would mean something.
It did, because she smiled.
“Eye colours show the element that chose the sage. Blue for water, red for fire, green for earth wielders, and brown for air.” Theia’s mother replied and at that same moment, a huge draft of breeze blew open the windows in the study.
