“That woman. Do you have a book about her?” The parrot ruffled its feathers. “Ah, you mean Selene Emberlain, The Aetherborn. A rare request.” Its eyes began to glow faintly. “Then the book you shall have.” From the highest shelf, a massive tome unlatched itself and floated down gracefully, landing in Seraphine’s hands with a heavy thump. The cover gleamed with ancient runes that pulsed softly as she touched it. The parrot nodded. “That book will tell you everything you need to know about Selene Emberlain, The Aetherborn.”

I ask, looking up at him. “It just isn’t.” Cain says glancing at his brother. “Open something else.” He says after a few seconds. I grab the next box, carefully unwrapping it. It’s bigger than the first. Heavier too. Inside, is a book. I pull it out and look at them both. “It’s a book on our species. You clearly don’t know much about us, I thought it would be good for you to learn.” Aeron says and I give a wry smile.
