Echoes of Moonfire
Gods.
They walked like mortals, clothed in simple garments, laughing, arguing, sparring. But their presence warped the air around them. I recognized a few from ancient records. The Sun God—Kareth, glowing from within like fire trapped in flesh—arguing with Anera, the Water Goddess, whose very steps left puddles of starlight behind her.
They looked like regular people. But they weren’t.
They moved like storms disguised in skin.
I ducked behind a tree as their sparring turned violent—light meeting water, scorching the air, freezing the ground. No one else seemed bothered. Gods, apparently, solved disagreements by nearly incinerating each other.
