She could only stand there, helpless, as Trevor removed the pink diamond from my neck and replaced it with the resplendent Fortune Star. He studied the way the ruby gleamed against my skin and nodded approvingly. "Not bad." Feigning shyness, I nestled into his chest, completing the picture of a devoted wife. When the auction finally concluded, Trevor excused himself to use the restroom. Barely had he stepped away when Cassidy darted after him like a moth drawn to a flame. Ah, the games are about to begin, I thought, smirking as I sipped my wine. Rising from my seat, I trailed behind her, my curiosity piqued.

This shit just didn’t happen. For as long as I can remember I’d always been raised to believe vampires were cold blooded killers, whom wasted their immortality just feasting on everything in their sights, humans, animals and even us werewolves too. And yet here I was loving my very own vampire mate. Jax just didn’t seem to fit that kind of stereotype though or maybe I was just being naive because of the bond.

Agatha mutters, getting completely engrossed in her thoughts. But the look of pure hatred and disgust in Gustav's eyes said there was more than what met the eyes. That this was something more than just keeping tracks of others getting in power. Like they had a past. A part to create a certain bad blood. But what exactly? And why with the Crime Lord all the way from South Korea? Agatha raises her glass to her lips, ready to take another sip when she is met with emptiness. It's already over. What the fuck? I finished it?

She was very familiar so she recognized her even though she could only see half of the girl's face. 'Christine? That Christine?' 'Is she waiting for someone?' Agatha's face now regained color and was no longer as disoriented as before. She watched the person greet a good-looking boy who was quite familiar with her. 'Ah, he's the guy this morning.' 'I didn't know he's related to Christine. But there are so many men involved with that girl. Probably this guy is also one of her various partners in bed.' 'This irritating mission, so the reason why it has a two months limit is that I will have to guess who among the debauched bunch is the real lover?'

"Gabby, what is it? Talk to me, you know I don't judge you, right? You want to see Brian?" "He was here last night. He spent the night with me." "Oh…my god! Gabby!! I hope he didn't….he is gay!" Agatha laughed. "We made explosive love and I'm not regretting it." Agatha stood up and smiled again. "Please get ready, the make-up artist will be here any moment to make you up. Stop pulling my legs." "You don't believe me?" "Why should I? Today is your wedding day and you are telling me you made explosive love with a guy who is not into women. You don't expect me to believe that, do you?"

“The mate bond.” I froze completely. The petty retort died on my tongue, and Lita whimpered deep in my mind, curling into a tight, defensive ball. “Oh, yes,” Agatha went on. “All those beautiful stories. All those grand fairytales about destined lovers, unbreakable connections, and eternal devotion. And yet, your perfect mate thinks you’re nothing but a cold-blooded murderer.” I ripped my gaze away from her, staring blindly at the cracked wall, but she noticed the subtle flinch. She noticed everything. A harsh, cruel laugh broke from her lips, echoing off the bare room.

After all, it was Agatha, whom Mel felt she had won over, who led Mel by the nose to take Patrick, another woman’s lover at the time. Agatha had also persuaded her to join forces in order to exact retribution. Gelly didn’t sure what Agatha was getting out of this, but given how much those two despised one other, she didn’t want to think about it. What was even funnier was Mel’s obsession with Agatha’s so-called lover, who she knew was homosexual and whose hatred for Mel was out of control. She wasn’t the only one who wanted Mel’s blood, and there were a lot of them. And now that she’d finally gotten the go-ahead, it was time to have some fun.

Agatha had a way of making people fall for her cooking skills. "I'm glad you like it. What book are you reading?", Agatha asked. "The fall of the dark angel", she answered with her mouth full. "I love that book. I'm not going to spoil it for you, then", Agatha said making her pout. "Just tell me if Athena and Damon forgave each other", Arieon pleaded.
