Two of my warriors—Blaze and Rowan—step out of the trees behind me. They freeze. They look at me. Then at her. Then back at me. Blaze mouths silently, Did our Alpha just propose to a human? Rowan whispers, “Is he sick? Cursed? Should we call the healer?” I want the ground to swallow me. My mate stares at me like I’m completely insane. Then she says the words that shatter my pride in the dumbest way possible: “No. I don’t marry kidnappers or shirtless men!” She turns to run.

The others men shape shifted also and led a heavy chase but I did not shape shift, instead I held onto my gun and shot a perfect shot at the tan wolf, the fake Marie. The wolf fell to the floor immediately with a loud howl. I walked over to the wolf, she was groaning and growling badly, she shifted back to human, her naked body coming to view but as wolves, we were used to this already. I grabbed my phone from the depths of my pockets and sent Alpha Kayden a message. "Alpha Kayden.....the Marie with us is not the real Marie, she is only a lady associated with Davis and putting on a mask to deceive us into believing she is Marie. She is down now but beta Davis has not been captured yet."

I was trying to control my voice, calm and forced, as I tightened my grip on the folder. She smirked and shrugged her shoulders. "You probably forgot no one would miss any details related to Carx. I might know the other information, but it's not mine to tell. Just curious," she chuckled and sipped the wine. I noticed how Marie shifted her glances from me to Trexon. Silently waiting for more, is there a need for me to explain? Marisa was surprised, but there's a part of her where her expression was satisfied as she looked at me. "Carx Gomes?" she even asked.

I called, snapping them back to reality. “Sorry Mrs. Reid, it's just that we have known you to be dead for four years,” Miss Marie Thatcher said. Miss Marie is the most famous make-up artist in all of Luxstorg and her studio offered the best services. “Miss Manor,” I corrected, wearing a comforting smile. “But we only serve Mr. Reid's wife,” Her hair stylist spoke up. Miss Marie was very busy and only attended to high dignitaries personally. I never used her services as Zeke's wife, because I never saw myself as one in his eyes.

Heading home I freeze outside the kitchen as I hear Ava and Marie deep in conversation. "I just clam up",Marie says sounding sad. "Why?",Ava just asks straight up. "Because Macy said all the Howl men are whores that fuck around and don't care about their mates",I sigh soft. "She lied Marie, Ava speaks up, all Macy did was lie and help create a werewolf meth that hurt many",I hear Marie sigh. "I'm afraid to have sex",Marie speaks up. "Why?",Ava asks.

I can smell the coffee on his breath that he chugged in the car as he answers her. Marie’s eyes lift sharply to the rim of her glasses. “Are you under the influence of drugs or alcohol?” She repeats sounding annoyed at the time wasted. “No,” Eric confirms. Marie’s eyes go back to the clipboard and she continues with other seemingly nonsensical questions about Eric’s mental and physical state of being. When Eric’s answered all the questions Marie tells us to follow her. She’s short but has a commanding energy about her. She walks the halls like she owns them, and

“She is going to get you either way.” “You walked into the wrong place,” Aria said, pulling me slightly behind her. “Only I am pretty sure that you should have had your balls snipped off if you chose to wait until the Alphas were away.” The rogue growled and rushed toward us, wanting to attack only to be stopped by his neck snapping. His body dropped in an instant, and I let out a gasp before a figure, a woman’s, appeared in the shadow. Maria. For a second, I couldn’t process it. She was supposed to be locked away. Marcel had kept her safe all this time.

The lady leaned her hips onto her office table. “Black.” Ruby smiled sweetly at her agent. “What is it you want to tell me?” I questioned, raising a brow at my senior manager. Ruby sighed before talking, “I have another side mission for you. It's an execution task.” I stretched my lips in a smirk, “Okay, name?” I crossed my legs on my seat, feeling giddy all of a sudden. “Gaspar Zaragoza.”
