Hazel POV The safe house sat on a quiet hill overlooking the city, surrounded by high walls and thick trees. It was beautiful in a cold, perfect way — modern lines, large windows, and luxury I had only ever seen in magazines. But no matter how many times I walked through its rooms, it never felt like home. Asher had increased security even more after the wedding. Guards patrolled the grounds in shifts. Cameras covered every corner. No one could enter or leave without clearance. It was necessary, he said. Callie was still out there, angry and unpredictable.

"Stay hidden. Let them enter. We need to see who shows up." Two black SUVs pull up. Expensive. Out of place in this wasteland. Doors open. Wolves emerge. Five. Six. Seven. All armed. All scanning with trained eyes. Then Asher steps out. He looks older. Gray streaking his hair. Lines deeper around his mouth. But his eyes are the same. Cold. Calculating. Filled with hate. "Kill him now. End this." Not yet. We need information first. Asher's wolves move through the building. Checking corners. Securing exits. Professional.

"The staff members from the Department of Housing already informed me that that house has already been mortgaged. How are you going to pay me back?" Ashton hopelessly lay crumpled on the ground. His entire body was covered in dirt. He finally realized that he had lost everything. Just then, he spotted me from the corner of his eye. I stood under the shade of a tree a short distance away. Both my hands were stuffed in my pockets as I coolly watched the encounter between Ashton and Peter. Ashton's eyes reddened in an instant. He pulled out a switchblade from out of nowhere and lunged at me, screaming, "This is all your fault, Jasper Soldano! I'm going to kill you!"

Alice's point of view: My life getting complicated day by day. The least I was expecting is to have a brother, a family. It turns out that Alpha Asher was my uncle that murdered my dad, and my birth was the cause of my mother's one. I wasn't breathing while running toward his cell. The only thing that was running into my mind was to find that so-called Asher and kill him by my hand. " Open thins door!" I ordered the guards of the dungeon, but none of them made a move. I wasn't already in a good mood, and their ignorance was making me feel worse.

However, it had been two hours since they came here, and Asher hadn't done anything other than stare blankly at the strange house. Ethan had assumed this was one of the numerous houses Asher owned in the city, but he was beginning to doubt

Asher He surveyed the room once again, making sure that he’d cleaned up all the blood. The overwhelming smell was bleach, but he knew it would dissipate soon enough with the open window. He pulled the door closed behind him and headed back to his house. His eyes resembled slate; the gray was a dark and dangerous color. His face was void of emotion, like something inside of him had once been bruised and scarred but was now broken. The sun had broken through the darkness on the horizon, and the sky bore glorious shades of fiery reds and oranges as it mixed with the dark clouds that promised rain.

Before I could get up and follow, I heard a string of profanities escape Ashton's lips from the other room, followed by the sound of something shattering on the floor. Realizing that something was very wrong, I got up and made my way into the living room, where Ashton and Antoine stood. "What's wrong?" I asked, taking in Antoine's swollen eyes and Ashton's shaking body. "What's going on?" For a moment, neither man answered me as I watched and waited for a response. It was only when I was ready to ask the same question again that Ashton turned and fixed his agonized gaze on mine. "It's my dad." He said slowly, trying to keep his emotions in check. "He was murdered."

​​​​Dominic. The thick smell of guts and blood was in the air as I stepped into the mansion. It was quiet and somewhat deserted. Maybe Asher had ordered everyone out. His mental call had been close to incoherent and unhinged. I followed the smell up to the spiraling stairwell. Mixed with death stench were two people I knew with Asher. Ava and Andrea, the somewhat shy third wheel. My mind was filled with questions. Most of all it was what had supposedly happened.

Anything. There’s one connection that we’ve been aware of, but it doesn’t explain the obsession that Draven has for her. A man named Davis Newbury. The man we found with a hole punched through his chest. Tracing Mr. Newbury’s actions back. He had visited their house not too long prior to coming back and being murdered there. We tracked down his house and found his dead wife, not as gruesome as her husband’s death, but still repulsive. We can only assume that Ashton’s mother had conducted some shoddy business with him and got he and his wife killed.

Camila I'm stuck with a murderer, and I've just agreed to remain with him indefinitely. That's Asher. He didn't try to deny it. If anything, he seemed sickeningly proud of his capability to kill. There was no hint of remorse in his eyes or voice as he recounted his version of what happened by the docks the other night.
