Mazelina: The Legend of The White Wolf

Mazelina: The Legend of The White Wolf

Asim snarls, his eyes black as night. “My name is Mazelina Winslow of The Moon Claw Pack, Luna to Alpha Rush Winslow of The Moon Claw Pack, I will never accept you, Asim Szell.” “You have no choice. Hold her still.” I look up at Asim and smile sinisterly. “The Goddess is displeased.” “I don’t give a fuck. She wasn’t the Goddess.”

Ashes of the Sky

Ashes of the Sky

But in a way that settles in her eyes. “Another time, little star.” My heart sinks. “Professor—” “Another time.” Her voice is gentle, but not dismissive or angry. Aries lifts his head, golden eyes blinking slowly. Almost apologetically. I want to push. Gods, I want to. But something tells me she has spent years carrying whatever memories live behind those eyes. And perhaps she’s not ready to hand them over. Instead, she smiles softly. “Tell me, have you attended Professor Draven’s combat class yet?”

ASHLEY or ASTRID

ASHLEY or ASTRID

Hana pointed her finger toward Ashton from afar and Ashley looked at him immediately. "What about him?" She asked in confusion. "Protect that man at all cost," Hana continued her words. Ashley scoffed, feeling that Hana was overreacting. Yet her eyes still looked at Ashton. That man was holding Max lovingly like he was the father. That view gave a warm feeling to her heart. "I'm serious, Ashley. And what's with you accepting Karl's call again? He's married and tonight was his first night as Lucia's husband. What's his deal calling you again?" Hana rebuked her like a big sister.

My Alpha Mate Rejected my Divine Pregnancy

My Alpha Mate Rejected my Divine Pregnancy

We found Ash on level three, cell number fourteen. He was curled in the corner of his unit, small and shaking, his eyes dimmed from the nullification field. But when I broke the cell door open and the runes shattered, his eyes flared back to life. “Mama?” His voice was barely a whisper. “I’m here, baby.” I was on my knees, pulling him into my arms, crushing him against my chest. “Mama’s here. You’re safe now.” He sobbed into my neck, his small hands gripping my shirt with desperate strength. “They kept saying you weren’t coming. That nobody wanted me.”

Asher

Asher

He seems nervous, as he regards me, his hands trembling ever so slightly. "You're in the immortal lands, in my home. My name is Aspen, Alpha Asher's brother," he explains. I'm shocked into silence for a long second. From what I remember about Alpha Asher, he has the same cut jawline and sloping cheekbones. There eyes are marginally different; as is their hair. Aspen's hair is slightly less disheveled and a soft, wood brown. "Immortal lands," I say slowly, giving my mind time to process that. "Are you immortal?"

The Assassin

The Assassin

As Avani lands, holding the talon up so the hybrid isn’t crushed, I lean over and put my hands on my knees, trying to catch my breath. “You okay there, old man. Don’t go dying on me. Zephyr would never forgive me.” “Shut it, Avani. You’re way older than I am,” I tell him, making him chuckle. I stand, walking over to his talons. “Young man, my name is Ishir. I know you came from a laboratory that was experimenting on you and several others. We’ve been out looking for the survivors and for those that hurt you. We’ve found four, and now you make five out of what we think is twenty-three. It’s not enough, but your varying scents make it hard to find you.”

THE HEART WANTS WHAT THE HEART WANTS (Part One)

THE HEART WANTS WHAT THE HEART WANTS (Part One)

The pretty face batted his eyes at Derrick. "Rolph doesn't need you for the night again. Please leave now when you can." "What do you mean?" Curiosity bathed his face. "Rolph is in a bad mood and you know what that means right." "No I don't." "For your own sake, please leave Asahi," Derrick said worriedly. Asahi was a model and prostitute belonging to one of Rolph's older friends back in Texas. He had borrowed the boy from his master after seeing him in action at an orgy some few weeks before he traveled to Marfa.

A Sinner’s Redemption

A Sinner’s Redemption

The place looked ethereal and magical with the faint light coming from a cluster of fireflies flying around the village freely. "Are we just going to knock on some random door?" Ains asked Amir hesitantly. He stopped walking to look around. He was hoping that they could at least spend the night comfortably before leaving tomorrow before the sunrise. Ains decided to leave immediately despite his desire to meet a certain general. Change of plans, he had to get out of here. He was not going to be in the same place as that hateful lich. Come to think of it, he recognized yet another familiar face a while ago. Mason. In his previous life, after the scandal of the church shook the entire continent

Frequently Asked Questions

The novel 'Asylum' by Madeleine Roux introduces a gripping cast of characters, but the core trio really steals the show. Dan Crawford, the protagonist, is a relatable yet complex guy—a photography enthusiast with a knack for stumbling into trouble. His curiosity about Brookline’s dark history pulls him deeper than he expects. Then there’s Abby, the artistic and fiercely loyal friend who balances Dan’s impulsiveness with her grounded perspective. Jordan’s the tech whiz of the group, bringing humor and skepticism to offset the eerie vibes. Their dynamic feels so authentic, like friends you’d actually hang out with, which makes the horror elements hit harder.

Beyond the main three, the secondary characters add layers to the story. Professor Reyes serves as a cryptic guide, dropping hints about Brookline’s past, while the ghostly presence of the Warden lingers as a chilling antagonist. The way Roux weaves their histories into the asylum’s secrets creates this deliciously creepy atmosphere. What I love is how none of them feel like cardboard cutouts—even minor characters have quirks that stick with you. Dan’s internal struggles, especially his visions and doubts, make his journey deeply personal. It’s rare to find horror where the characters drive the scares as much as the plot does.
