Kaiden put the phone down and clasped his hands leaning forward. "His name is Neal. Neal Jayden Knight. 24 years old. Veterinarian. Only have mother, no siblings. Single. Lives with his friend Arjun Arthur Harris. They moved to LA four years ago." Kaiden told the details he had received.

"I... I don't know what to say." Harris giggles, a bright sound that seems out of place in the somber training grounds. "Anything, man. Your hobbies? Do you have a man waiting for you back home? What about your family?" The mention of family twists a dull knife in Aiden’s gut. He looks down at his scuffed boots. "I’m an orphan," he says softly. The laughter dies in Harris’s throat. He reaches out, squeezing Aiden’s arm. "Shit, I’m sorry. Me too. Same boat."
