Daisy stood near the couch, her coat folded over her arm, her handbag clutched close to her chest as if it were armor.
He remembered last night, Aria sat cross-legged on the rug, humming softly to herself while dragging a crayon across a piece of paper she'd found earlier. She was drawing something that vaguely resembled a house- with crooked windows, a sun that smiled too big, and four stick figures holding hands. Zavier hadn't looked at it. Not once. But he knew it was there, at the table. He turned slowly.
"Daisy. Llévensela." he said, his voice measured, controlled.
