I yell, shielding Raymond as another shade strikes, grazing my side, blood dripping hot.
“Jude!” Raymond shouts, light burning a shade to nothing, but he’s breathing heavy, heart stuttering through our bond. “You good?”
“Fine!” I growl, shadows ripping another, pain burning like hell. “Stay close, sunshine!”
Akira’s blade flashes, cutting a shade down, sparks flying. “Focus!” she says, dodging a claw. “Like the echo fight?”
“Less loud,” I say, shadows slamming one into a wall. “Dante, you holding up?”
