“You don’t think she’s…” Adley trailed off, her face paling as she looked back at my corpse.
“No, she’s not dead.” I said grimly, still looking down at the ocean. “All of this, it’s an illusion made by Callum. He’s here, he has his magic back, and he’s working with Nadia.”
Adley’s eyebrows creased. “Illusions aren’t supposed to be real. Sure a good one can feel real, but you shouldn’t be able to touch it…and it definitely shouldn’t be able to touch you back.”
