Alastor X Vox Comic Novels & Stories

He saw the opening she had created—the mercenaries were in total disarray, their formations broken by the literal earth rising against them. "Stay here," Alaric whispered, his voice a promise of slaughter. He vaulted over the balcony railing. Mid-fall, his body expanded and twisted, his clothes shredding as the obsidian-furred beast took over. He hit the ground with the weight of a falling star, a massive black wolf that dwarfed every other creature in the courtyard.

He growled, and the sound vibrated as it hummed from his throat. “Stop playing Xerxes, you know my name is Meadow.” The she-wolf stepped up to him and nudged him with her snout. He smelt of pine cones and cherries. The wolf was caught off guard as the she-wolf licked the side of his face. “I am not Xerxes,” the wolf groaned. Meadow was confused. “What should I call you then?” Meadow purred, thinking that her mate likes role-playing. “I am Alazar,” he rumbled proudly.

“Or are you just wanting to flirt? I can leave you alone if that is the case.” ‘ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?,’ my wolf barks, piercing his claws into the walls of my mind, triggering my eyes to close shortly, before I can subdue the pain and force them to open again. I really don’t want to seem like the creep here. “Oh,” General Alastor laughs in an annoying manner, and I scrunch up my face. “No, no. I was meaning to come and pick you up to show you the newest results of our investigation.”

I run towards him and realize that his face is bloodied. "Haris, talk to me!" But he only moans, such is the pain he must be feeling. I'm mortally pissed off with that son of a bitch Lanton! "What's wrong with you?" "He was kissing you!" "I kissed him, Lanton, me!" I yell back and the circus is already set up. "Do you have to act like an asshole all the way over here? Leave me alone, let me live my life!"

Beaming around that gigantic stunning tree was always our hobby. The ruthless Lucifer found joy...that he even smiled. Until that day, the darkness engulfed me again. When I went to the garden for my love and couldn't find her. Then his creepy voice that disgusted me overwhelmed aloud. A devil like me knew I couldn't close my ears to avoid his talks. I left angrily back to hell when he was done. That was how the savagery in me disappeared. The smile that Alazarah showed me...never leaves my face again. Uncountably, I smile every day. Even though, I was mad or glad because there was nothing in the world or underworld that could really make me happy or sad if not Alazarah.

I was looking for him, but I was not the only one. A presence shifted behind me. I did not turn immediately. There was no need. “You think too loudly,” a familiar voice said. I exhaled slowly. “You always appear where you are not welcome.” Alastor stepped into view with his usual calm, the kind that came from knowing most people could not touch him even if they tried. Apostle of Ra. Exiled on paper, tolerated in practice. “That is an interesting complaint,” he replied. “Coming from a man who treats contracts like loose guidelines.”

Added one more line, because the evidence demanded it even if I wasn't ready for what it meant: Which means they knew I was coming. Before Alastor did.

It was cracked just enough for me to hear Nox and Jada’s conversation, not that either of them knew I was listening. Nox leaned against one of the beams, threading his fingers through his thick hair. “I’ve been meaning to ask you something. A few days ago someone left some notes in my bedroom for me. I tried to figure out who might’ve done it, but there was no scent that I could pick up. I looked through the files of everyone in the pack, and yours was one that caught my eye. You can astral project, right? Can you touch things in your astral form?” I liked Jada even more in that moment because future Alpha or not, Nox wasn’t exempt from her attitude.

I said sincerely and Ashr pffts me. "Alhan is a snake, literally Zax. He's crazy and rambunctious. Nothing but a troublemaker and just like his father," he growled menacingly and I nodded my head and laughed. "I already know Ashr but I want to cause trouble with him and not be tied down by you. I am not a fucking pet," I growled angrily and Ashr rolled his eyes. I watched a group of federation officers enter the room he was in and hold up weapons. I saw the shock and surprise on Ashr's face as he turned and I saw the demonic look he gave back to me and his brother that had just joined me.

That much was evident as he stuttered over his first words. "Al-Alpha Roman. I'm glad you're back. We have information on vampire movements," he says, meeting my gaze, but I can see the worry in his eyes. Instantly, I'm on my feet and next to him. "Talk," I say, my cold, no-bullshit exterior immediately falling into place.
