The sky over Lagos had turned wrong. Not stormy. Not cloudy. Wrong. Massive alien vessels hovered in perfect formation above the city, silent, sleek, obsidian hulls reflecting the sunrise in fractured blue patterns. They weren't ships in the traditional sense. They pulsed living things of metal and flesh, tentacles of energy crackling between them like neural synapses. The hybrid signal had done its work. The invasion wasn't coming. It had already arrived.

He rubs his face slowly, pacing in a small circle on the smooth glass floor of the chamber. “Okay,” he says after a moment, “I just want to confirm something before I panic properly.” The Custodian watches him silently. “You’re saying there is a civilization eating monster six light years away from Earth.” Yes. “And it destroys intelligent species.” Correct. “And somehow we are now on its radar because aliens turned Aidan’s brain into a cosmic signal tower.” The stars inside the Custodian’s body shimmer faintly. That is an accurate summary. Matteo nods slowly. “Good. Just making sure I understood the nightmare correctly.”

So, putting both of them to retreat, besides burning one race and the other being drowned, when they launched their ship towards the sea, due to ages their oceans dried up, so, there was no water, the liquid substance in question, it didn't have the same amounts of substances that they had in the Earth's water. In which they were invading their ship, modifying the trajectory inducing errors and defects in the controls, causing them to fall towards the sea of Earth, killing a good number of aliens of their race. If they didn't know better, the amber generals of the realm called the Visio Electri Damselfly, it was an ancient realm in which mystical and dimensional beings among its inhabitants

They made their way to us and sat down beside me. At two minutes the pack house doors swung open again for the second time revealing four large men who were to ensure it was an honorable fight. The two taller, larger men were Alphas, but the tallest of them had a stern look on his face. Scars littered down his back on plain display. Muscles hard from years of training. He stepped to the middle of the ring and addressed the crowd directly.

“This is Freda. The leader of the Silver Blood Pack.” “The Silver Blood Pack.” They responded at once. “Aren’t they extinct?” Another one asked. “Didn’t that plague wipe them all out?” I frowned. So, Clayton had disguised poisoning as a plague. And everyone had believed in his lies. “They didn’t. Freda is a living member of the pack and it’s not just her. They are among us here.” The alphas' eyes moved around, hungrily. I bet they were trying to win some of the Silver Blood Pack members for themselves. They must have witnessed their strength in the fight.

Strange glowing symbols floated through the air, moving slowly like drifting constellations. The air felt cooler. Sharper. Easily two heads taller than Adrian. Their bodies were slender but powerful, covered in dark armor that seemed almost organic.
