Leon drew in a shallow breath, scanned his surroundings, and reached under the steering wheel for a folding knife. His senses sharpened as he surveyed the dark road. He pushed the door open and stepped out. Seven or eight men, clearly trained, closed in fast. Each held a long blade. Leon’s eyes turned icy, his voice colder still. “Who sent you?” The leader replied, “Someone wants you dead. If you’re that curious, ask the Reaper yourself.” Neither side wasted another word. Their gazes locked. The fight began. Leon moved first, his knife slicing through the air in a flash of cold silver.

Growls stopped, they looked at me like I said something they’ve never heard before. “We don’t have that kind.” He moves forward which makes me and Rendall brace ourselves for an incoming fight. “I am thinking of who to kill first but black and grey ones volunteered,” Rendall said and nudge my back using his shoulder as a signal to attack. I pulled out the spear on the werewolf in front of me and throw it to the one that is behind Rendall. I immediately pulled out the knife behind my leg and throw it at the werewolf attacking in front.
