Theron's POV The day of the event was finally here. This is the day I officially put Twilight on the map. Another success to celebrate. Many of my past lovers have been calling nonstop to accompany me to the event but I turned them all down. I don't want any drama tonight so I decided to just go alone.

Alec was still facing away from me , his back towards the door . " Was he like this the whole time ? " I ask Kayla . " Yup . " She said , exaggerating the last letter with a pop . It's my first time seeing Alec so flustered , it was kind of strange . He slowly turns around and grabs the suitcase on the floor , heading out without a look . I follow him . " Luna .. I'm really sorry about that . I .. have a favor to ask . " He asks nervously . " What is it ? " I wasn't bothered in the least . I was mindlessly scrolling through my phone , ignoring the million text messages from Jace .

Finally, I picked up, "yes, It's Winter here." "Enjoying your life, huh?" I hear a creepy voice from the other side, "I thought you would have left Aspen after witnessing the kiss." Now I know who is this bitch; It's Ave who destroyed my everything and with whom Aspen has given me the biggest wound. "I thought if I blackmailed Aspen with his secrets to dance with me and kiss him later to create misunderstandings between both of you, you would leave him."

The twins looked at each other and laughed. "Oh," Maxwell said. "That’s another story." "Is he scary?" Alec thought about it. "He tries to be." "What does that mean?" "It means," Maxwell said with a grin, "he spends half his time pretending to be the terrifying Alpha everyone expects… and the other half losing every argument to our little sister." My eyes widened. "You have a little sister?" "Unfortunately," Maxwell sighed dramatically. "The most annoying human being alive." Alec laughed. "Her name is Gracie. She’s eight. She steals our food, our hoodies, our rooms, our parents…"

Nathan nodded once. Then, with a seriousness that made me want to laugh and hide at the same time, he asked, “And the overheating?” Celeste blinked at him. Then very deliberately looked between the two of us before answering dryly: “That part is unfortunately your fault, Alpha. As it seems to me that your Luna, well her wolf, has been fighting to give you a child.” I nearly choked on the tea, and Nathan’s eyes widened in surprise. “And you, Alpha, seem to have been giving in to her a little too easily.”

Sylvester tried to be diplomatic in his phrasing. “You mean other Alphas fear the wrath of the mad Alpha.” Gamma Germain scoffed. “Did someone call?” Alec’s voice made us all jump as he stepped out of a shadow, holding hands with Crista. The offending wolf took two steps back, hitting the wall as he gulped in fear. A cheshire smile played across Alec’s lips as his eyes flashed like a bright sunrise before fading out to Alec’s natural blue. Darkness is riding shotgun today. It makes sense, given that I don’t believe Chesed can travel such a distance through the shadows. And if there was doubt about which wolf spirit was forward, the power he emanated made it clear. “Both of us? That’s bold. What if he thinks we’re nuts?” “Then he’s not worth it, come on, let’s see what he’s about.” We grabbed our drinks and strolled over, weaving through the crowd. Up close, Alec was even better. Tall, maybe six-two, with dark curly hair and perfect green eyes. He was leaning against the bar and sipping a whiskey. “Hi,” Toni started, flashing her brightest smile. “I’m Toni, this is Tazz. Couldn’t help but notice you standing here all mysterious.”

“We can finally spend more time together as a family.” Twins? That was the first I heard of them. So there were more grandkids than I thought. Aleksander. Arne. Alf. And now twins. This family was much bigger than I realized. “I thought Aleksander said he leaves for the UK in two days,” Alf said casually. Grandma nodded. “He did, but he promised to return sooner this time.” He was leaving? That caught me off guard. I had no idea. Was he planning to leave me here when he knew I was trying to transfer to UCL? Sarah told me that is where he lives most of the time. The thought stung more than I wanted to admit.
