Amelia’s POV Finally, it was the day of the competition. Zane and I had worked our butts off in the previous two days to prepare for today. We were going to perform ‘Senorita by Shawn Medes and Camilla Cabello’ and I was sweating profusely as we drove through the Ark Town and headed towards New Bryxton Town for the competition.

I know about the little arrangement that had been set up. Penelope is mine. You will not have her back, Xavier, and she will not be intimate with you in any way, shape, or form. She will never become one of these girls you like to pimp out. Do you understand me?” Donovan glares at Xavier as he waits for his response. I notice Xavier clenches his fists tightly before responding through clenched teeth, “Yes, Alpha, I understand you.”

Zaria: If he had any decent camera time, do you think he would have paid to take down the one headline that made it look like he and Penelope were a thing? I stopped walking. I stood by the window, looking down at the grey tarmac of the courtyard below. My fingers tapped the glass screen. Penelope: Next time just wire the million straight to me. I will clarify things myself and make a profit while I am at it. Kael replied instantly with three bleeding skull icons. I tossed the terminal onto the bed. The brief distraction did nothing to clear the sour taste of the alcohol or the memory of Julian’s grip on my ribs.

She had even given him a ring to aid his escape from the demons' trap, which made it so obvious that he was going to fall in. We were finally in school and it had taken us almost an hour before we could be able to settle down, as the entire class seemed to be so giddy and overly excited to see us, especially Xander, who had turned from a ferocious beast to a gentle man who cared for even a flea. I smile at him, biting back a laugh “Yeah needed to blow off some steam and ran into Alpha Max.” Out of the corner of my eye, I see Alpha Max frown a little at me when I said Alpha. “More like I ran into you.” Alpha Max responds looking down at me and I can feel the intensity of his stare on me. With Hailey’s eyes on me, I didn’t dare look at him.

The die had been cast. Alexandra was in a very pitiful position. In order to get to the Bennett couple, Alexandra needed to be ruined, and the same was the case if Penelope wanted to get back at Adrian for killing her mom. Although Penelope didn’t have such deep feelings for her mother, she could not exactly let them slide, especially now that she had Antonio by her side.

Maven Penelope Fox is a spitfire. I don’t know what I was expecting but definitely not this. She looks sweet, cute, innocent, but man when she gets upset, she lets you know it. It’s interesting, it’s obvious she’s never been in a pack setting before because she doesn’t realize that you can’t speak to Alpha’s this way. The only reason I’m allowing this is because she is Amelia’s sister, she is Donovan’s mate, and I believe she is the white wolf.

Raphael stares at her for a moment. "Is that what you want?" Raphael asks with a calm look on his face. "Yes!" Alexandra responds. "I will do that then!" "Stay sharp. They'll move during the opening ceremony." Penelope stands beside me, composed and elegant. She's wearing a dark blue dress that's both formal and practical. The panic button bracelet glints on her wrist. "Nervous?" she asks quietly. "Terrified," I admit. "You?" "Same," Penelope confirms. "But ready." Around us, Alphas and Lunas mingle. Some greet us warmly. Others nod coolly. The political divisions are obvious. Alpha Garrett approaches. He's older, traditional, one of the conspiracy supporters according to Liam's intelligence.
