We basically own like… almost all the businesses here.” I took a sip of my coffee, processing little by little what he said as it is what my brain can do for now while hung over. “Uh-huh…” I started, nodding slowly. “The only man with that status is Mr. Joseph Bryan Grey…son…” My voice disappeared completely the moment realization dawned in. Imelda rolled her eyes, and sat back on the wheelchair as they left together. Aunt Penelope was dressed in an immaculate white nightgown and a white pair of flip-flops. Sipping from the glass of wine she held, she smirked at the clueless Imelda. “Give him a child? How? Aunt, he doesn’t let me go anywhere close to him.” Imelda murmurs sadly. Joss scoffed. “Queen Pen, she is totally an a$$.” He chuckled, but was stopped by a knock on his head. “It’s Penny, stupid.” Aunt Penelope growled at him, and he nodded rather coldly. “You want to be Luna, don’t you?”

Penelope shot back, smirking now, recovering her footing. She plucked another piece from the rack—a black lace number that looked more like a weapon than underwear—and held it up. “You think I’d be doing that on a random Tuesday if it weren't important? Come on, I'm a busy woman, Savannah.” I snorted, unable to help myself. “Don’t tell me someone’s actually tapping that.” Penny laughed, the sound sharp and theatrical. She turned fully to Savannah, her eyes gleaming with something malicious and eager.

Eden’s POV Being a waitress sucks! But you know what sucks more? My entire life! Picture a 21-year-old girl donned in a worn-out yellow apron with tiny cartoon coffee cups printed all over it; an apron that has seen more stains than a toddler’s onesie and could double as a parachute in an emergency.

I shriek. He just chuckles and saunters over to a fancy black car beside my red one. “Let’s go Ana!” Diana calls. I hesitantly climb into the passenger seat, frowning at my instant discomfort. It’s small and the seat leans back and everything looks super tall outside. “You okay?” She asks. “I’ll be fine,” I murmur, waving her away. She hits a button and the roof lifts off, falling back into a secret compartment. My eyes widen as I hear a revving noise and see Daniel grinning in the car beside us.

"We should just go home, I have things to do." Penny turned her head toward me like I had just committed a crime. "What’s more important than your colouring expenditure, Mr. Artist?" She teased, putting extra drama in her voice like she was on stage. I sighed. "It’s called ‘composition.’ Not expenditure." I breathed out lazily. "Well. Same difference." She grinned, then she turned to the driver. "Please get the ice cream. If Ryan doesn’t want his, I’ll have it too. Two scoops for one drama queen."

“You seem to forget that I have to learn to be a queen first.” I smile. “I think you’ll be surprised how much of a natural queen you are.” Anna rolls her eyes at me. “The amount of confidence you have in me is almost painful.” I chuckle and shrug. “I only speak the truth to you.” Just then the petite blonde waitress walks up to the booth with a notepad and pen in hand. “Hello, my name is Penny and I will be your server today.” She finally looks up from her notebook and makes eye contact with me. f**k. Penny’s mouth drops open a little and I can see the glazed over look in her eyes as my s****l aura hits her. This teenager never stood a chance. “Oh, wow.” Penny sighs dreamily.

A black teardrop pendant hangs from her neck, glinting softly in the glow that envelops her. My heart skips a beat as realization dawns, and my knees buckle, pulling me to the floor. I fall, unable to keep myself upright as the weight of understanding crashes over me. This is the Moon Goddess. I’m on my knees, my shoulders shaking as I look up at her, tears blurring my vision. I can’t hold it back—the grief, the relief, the overwhelming feeling of finally being seen, known. Her voice is soft, filled with warmth and understanding. “Oh, honey.”

Her greed was evident on her face. Vincent blinked and said obediently, "Okay, how much do you want?" Penelope was surprised by his quick compliance. She assumed that Vincent could be easily deceived, considering his apparent ignorance and age. "I want ten billion!" Penelope showed her ten fingers immediately. Her eyes were filled with avarice. Vincent put in all his concentration to count his short and chubby fingers for a while. Finally, he looked up with his sparkling eyes and said in an adorable tone, "I counted it. Ten billion is not much. I have the money. No need to ask mommy for it!"
