Serena called, trying not to laugh as Judith darted just out of reach.
From the shaded porch of the beach house, Alexandro leaned against a column, his arms crossed over his chest and a grin tugging at the corner of his lips. His dark eyes were locked on the two people who meant the world to him. His wife and his daughter. Nothing else compared.
“She looks wonderful,” he murmured to himself, but the words were for Serena. As always, she heard him even across the distance. She turned her head, her chestnut hair catching the sunlight, and smiled at him.
