Caliana's POV The elder's cars started to arrive one by one. The first one to step out was a woman with short blonde hair. She looked intimidating and wore the latest fashion brand, "That's elder Christina Carter, everyone calls her CC, she was the Alpha of the Grey Lycan pack in the Northern region before she retired and her son took over," Alpha Edward whispered in my ear. I was supposed to know all this beforehand but it has been a stressful couple of days. I was grateful that he told me.

She screamed and thrashed, trying to break free from his tight grasp, but the man wouldn’t budge, instead, he simply walked out of the hiding spot, ignoring all her attempts of breaking free. “You need to calm down, malyshka, whatever you’re doing is not going to do you any good” Alexei said, his voice deep and calm despite the scene before their eyes, her racing heartbeat calming at the sound of his voice. He kept walking in the shadows, as if concealing her from everyone’s vision, and for a second, she feared that he would use her for his pleasure like the other wolves have been doing to the other female Lycans.

Instead of that horrifyingly pale woman she saw a wall of dark grey fur. She shivered as her skin tingled from where that bloodthirsty creature had brushed her claws before being thwarted by the canine now standing guard before her. Aiden’s dark grey form stood before her, towering over her body as it stood shielding her from the creature that had threatened her.
