Exalia’s pov Inspite of all the happenings, Yara seemed unaffected and she began to sing. Her voice was so loud that it became so noticeable, she was trying so hard to extinguish the darkness and give way to light once more. The irony of it wall was that the creature was not affected at all, it responded, and it didn’t retreat, It became more stronger and more menacing and horrifying. It had fully evolved into its true form that looked like some sort of humanoid from another galaxy.

“But we’re still us.” Alex touched the collar. Still us. But outside the safehouse, new alarms began to blare across the city. The alien fleet—drawn by the final signal from the Cradle—had arrived. Ships hovered over Lagos, massive and silent, blue energy crackling between them. The invasion had truly begun. Elena said with a relieved smile. Aliyah stepped inside a narrow hallway lit by a single bare bulb. The scent of boiled cabbage and old carpet filled her nose. Izabella appeared startled and focused her attention on the stranger—a masculine humanoid-like creature with green skin and protruding fangs that resembled those of a big werewolf—who stood at least six feet tall and had flashing predator's eyes.
