Taking a deep breath, I pressed on and what I saw next confirmed I arrived late– well late into the bloodshed which must have taken place in this hamlet hours ago. There were lifeless mutilated bodies of werewolves and my cousin’s men(lycans) and there was a flood of crimson as Cathena’s hamlet stood in total desolation. A howl filled the air. “Calix!” I quickly recognized that as my cousin’s voice. I bolted into the forest before me, veering through the trees and emerged on a riverbank. There’s no sign of Calix or the rest of our men, but my gaze settled on a shredded piece of cloth. I stepped closer, picked it up and quickly noted that was from Calix’s cloak.

It was the ghost who latched onto me when the doorway first opened, the one I was responsible for, the one I blamed myself for. Alison. Part of me feared there might be part of her still here. But worse, that the monster she'd become might use this place as a hideout. Meeting up with blood-sucking Alison's echo, now a twisted and black creature influenced by Ameline Benoit, in a dark and creepy underchamber hidden below a vampire lair was the stuff of horror movies. The ones where the heroine dies in the end. I almost yelled at Liam not to go into the side chamber. Wasn't the handsome guy always the first one to bite it? Instead, I shook myself internally and got a freaking grip. Sometimes I

They all stopped meowing at once. The place that was filled with hellish crying earlier suddenly became dead silent. The huge contrast was tough to get used to. “Did… Did something come out from the blood pool?” Maya asked with a tone of uncertainty. Alex nodded. “Yes!” “Is there really something? What is it?” Anna asked. “It’s a female ghost! I thought Mr. Hanson was a more humane member of the Blood Cult who only used cat blood but not human blood. It seems like I overestimated him. Quite a number of people had died in this blood pool!” Alex said.

’ I handed her the leftovers and left her alone. ‘Aren’t you going to eat?’ ‘I have lost my appetite.’ ‘Morning chomee.’ Anna greeted me the next day. ‘I’m sorry for arguing with you last night. It is just that I have heard horrible stories about people disappearing without a trace in this God-forsaken city and I worry a lot about you. You and I are like sisters.’ ‘Come on friend, God-forsaken? It is not that bad; you just need to get used to it.’

Majority of the vampires agreed and their angry yells of ‘yes’ could be heard. “Two weeks ago, I journeyed to Athens to relay the good news to the Elders, about the Blackburn being alive, but I was disappointed to know that it is no news to them because they knew all this while,” Aamon’s expression darkened now. “The Elders have been keeping things from us for too long. They can never be trusted anymore. I decided to act on my own and with Kyle, I was able to get the witch to speak yesterday. There is a sacred book written by the Fathers of the early church after the time of the witch trials. It talks about a prophecy that will bring an end to our immortality.”

~Miranda I had fallen asleep when the sound of the caged door violently coming open awoke me. I got up with a start and stared into the darkness. The evil man was standing in the doorway with eyes that glowed a fierce crimson color. My heart began to pound violently against my ribcage. My lips trembled nonstop. I wanted to run. I tried screaming. It felt like I was having a nightmare and no one was coming to my rescue. The man was not alone. There were other men with him who had glowing yellow eyes. That was when I understood that the evil man was the Alpha of this pack.

Their bodies twisted and contorted into grotesque forms. They had been cursed by True Alpha Alparic, who sought to punish them for their wicked deeds. As she continued on her way, she couldn't help but wonder what other secrets the town of Saintmau held and what other creatures lurked in the shadows. She did not know that now Saintmau was the living hell of strigoi - the undead monsters who only appeared at night, craving for blood.

He looked down on the cover and read the title: The Anthem of Lycanthropy. A werewolf fiction novel? Although confused, Axel still accepted the book from the boy. This was wasting a few minutes of his time that he could’ve used to figure out which European country to go to first but for sure, he’ll entertain Sky for a while only because it looked like he had a hard time gathering the confidence to knock his door and give him a book probably ridiculing their race. Axel sighed and was about to voice out his confusion when Sky spoke up. “I-I thought the storyline was somewhat familiar to someone you value, Alpha. I... just wanted you to read it and uhm, see for yourself,” he said, his voice sha

Dad grabbed the nurse, throwing her out of the room alongside himself. "Well-done, Emily, you have accomplished your mission." A sinister scent emerged, a wicked laugh echoing across the room. The once blue sky was now a mixture of black and white with the moon reflecting its radiant image. Wails filled the air as a ray of light fell from the sky, hitting a mountain on the other side of town. I groaned, wincing as my hand was scorched by the flaming book. The pages settled, words in red appearing on the pages. "Strigoi, Nosferatu, Jiangshi…"
