I’m damn proud of it, and I’m glad I didn’t give up after the first fail. I’ve discovered that I get into those fantasy stories where one person knows who his or her soul mate is upon meeting them, or even before that, as what happened in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas, A Kinda Fairy Tale series by Cassandra Gannon, and many of the shifter books by Eve Langlais that I have loved so much. So that’s where I came up with the Love Mark idea.

Chapter 1 Lyra's POV I wrapped my legs tighter around his waist, pulling him closer against me. My body was on fire, every nerve ending screaming for more contact. His deep groan vibrated through his chest and into mine, making everything inside me clench with desperate need. My fingers dug into his shirt as he continued kissing and sucking at my neck. He grabbed my waist, half-pulling, half-lifting me toward the bedroom. I felt more like a doll being moved than a person being carried. I knew this was wrong. I knew I shouldn't be here in his arms, and shouldn't be enjoying every second of this forbidden moment.

The rug was a lost cause, and so was I. Ava traced lazy circles on my stomach. “Still catching the morning train?” I laughed, raw. “Changed my plans. The only thing I regret is that I married Jamie before I found my mate, Thorn. “Because it wasn't what I wanted. Why should I be pushed into what does not make me happy? I always knew that I was born to lead, it would give me the purpose that I wanted.” I answered, throwing my legs up in the air several time because of how excited I was that he was beside me. “So you married Alpha Jamie for the title of Luna?” *Not really, I fell in love with him. Being Luna was just the icing on the cake.” I smiled. I saw how uncomfortable he became after I said that I was in love with Jamie. I find it attractive whenever he was jealous.

“I’m okay. Really.” He stepped closer, one big hand bracing on the doorframe above my head. The heat of his body washed over me. That rich Alpha scent and pure male dominance made my head spin. “You’ve been looking at me all night, Lila,” he murmured, voice so low it vibrated through my bones. “Like you want something you know you shouldn’t have.” My breath hitched. My pussy throbbed so hard I had to squeeze my thighs together. “Damien…”

She pushed me back onto the sofa, her hands inching toward the waistband of my jeans. Still locked in a passionate kiss, my hand ventured beneath her shirt, while my foot urged her legs apart. Her shallow breaths resonated in my ears, laced with need and desire. I could feel my cock throbbing against her thigh, aching for her touch. "You don't strike me as the romance type." I looked at her intently. "Is it one of those raunchy books with shirtless men carrying scabbards on the cover."
