The book with the red cover! “OMG!” Aki gasped. “Is this really it?” “Aye,” Sasha said. “You… stole… a book… from the library?” was the first thought that filled Aki’s mind. “Umm…” Sasha was taken aback. “Aye but it was for a good cause.” Temujin and Aki weren’t listening anymore. Their eyes were devouring the book. The title on the front cover was long. “The Feasibility of Using Galvinism for Ki Reanimation,” Temujin read aloud and then he and Aki both gasped.

Illustrated. I lean down. One shows a blue male. He is not zareth, but similar. Glowing skin. Sharp teeth. Muscles. He is lifting a small human female like she weighs nothing. Her thighs are wrapped around him and her face is flushed. “Alien Daddy?” I read the title slowly, sounding it out. "W-wait, did you just talk?!" Sienna exclaims. I flip the book open without answering. There are pages full of images and drawings. Scenes of mating.

The papers were covered in Roxy's neat, yet hurried, scribbles. Each page was dedicated to a specific supernatural species, with titles like "Reaver", "Vampire", "Werewolf", "Cryomancer", and "Witch" heading each section. Beneath these titles, Roxy had jotted down notes, presumably extracted from my book. “This book has a lot of history in it, and a lot of different species' history as well. I didn't want to keep your book forever, so I’m making my own book. I pulled one out, nearly choking when I saw its contents—pages full of strange illustrations: skeletal figures half-transformed into wolves, notes on dual circulatory systems, and countless terms unfamiliar to me.
