He paused to look over at Jacob while they both laughed, "Perfect for a little game, don’t you agree? And as long as you keep to the rules, we won't touch your dying little pet over there." "Rules? What are the rules?" "Don't worry; they are so simple, and you will remember them. 1. Run. 2. Run. and rule number 3. Don’t die. It is not up to you when you get to die; that is up to us. Do you need to write that down, honey? Run, never stop, and ask for permission before dying."

She flipped through it slowly, eyes scanning the rules again. Rule 3: Weakness is not tolerated. Rule 7: Personal disputes must be settled in the ring. Rule 9: Hierarchy is earned through combat, obedience, and demonstration of strength. Her heart beat steadily. Not fast. Not slow. Focused. She pressed a hand to her chest—bound flat—and closed her eyes.

He had seen that expression only a handful of times throughout his years beside the Black King. It was the smile Lorenzo wore whenever he had already decided how the story would end. And history had never been kind to those who mistook his patience for weakness. [*********] Rule I: Blood Answers Blood. A life shall not be taken unless blood has first been drawn. I looked across the entire room. “And one more thing. Everyone standing here tonight, remember this. The Leon family can replace a district boss. It can replace drivers, lawyers, mistresses, accountants, and even the groom at a wedding. But the rules do not change. Anyone who tries to use this family as a ladder to climb up the ranks, I’ll break their legs.” This time, every single person lowered their head. I knew this fight was far from over. The real retaliation would begin tomorrow. However, I had been waiting for this day for far too long.

I commented. Eun-woo ignored me as he continued, “Rule 4: Don’t approach me just because you wanted to; Rule 3: Don’t try to talk to me if it’s not something educational-related; Rule 2: Don’t act as you know me personally; And most importantly, Rule 1: Never let anyone we’re step-siblings no matter what.” “Whoa… look who’s talking,” I mocked him. “Aren’t you the one doing as you pleased between the two of us?”

She wanted at this fucker now. “Again, one rule, no killing. Winner will be whoever can get the other to submit or tap out or a knockout. Understood?!” Koda and I locked eyes and just nodded. “Everybody back up!” Jax hollered while pushing people back. “On my word then. Ready…set…GO!”

“No name. No crown. Only vengeance.” “And when he walked, the earth stirred. The dead listened. And the tyrants felt fear for the first time.” “So I ask you, little one— Who rises when history forgets? Who dares when even gods stay silent? The answer will come. And when it does...” “The Rule will break.” *** “When kingdoms fall, the earth remembers. When tyrants rise, the wind listens. But when the forgotten return— The sky holds its breath.” --- Synopsis:

albeit, it felt odd, my nerves seemed to calm. I finally reached the foot of the raised floor, standing in front of Mr Williams as he raised the crown over my head. “Today, we are gathered in joyous celebration, to announce Aurelia Eleanor Charleton the 1st as Queen of Northleye. May your reign be blessed with health and peace”. He then slowly lowered the croon onto my head and it was only until it was resting completely on me and his hands were at his side that I never knew the crown would be so heavy and my head felt like it could wobble at the weight of it.

" Getting kind of chilli. "You are prolonging things, girl. Just give us some rules." The witch gritted her teeth. " Rule number one : no cheating. Rule number two: you will avoid breaking anything in this room." Ella remembered last night. She didn't want to move to another room. "Rule number three: no shape shifting. And last but not least. Rule number four: you will fight to the death." "To the death?" The goblin questioned." That sounds a bit harsh."

Mora said. I unfolded the paper and read the writing before nodding. The rules were straightforward, and I understood that adhering to them was crucial for my survival in the castle. Alpha's Rule: Don't respond when someone speaks to you. Always answer when you're called. Avoid looking at the alpha without permission. Show respect to the alpha's beta. Follow instructions given to you. I read the five rules and couldn't help but think how silly they were. Why would he make such rules without any real importance? It reminded me of the time I got hit in the face for just glancing at him.
