Daddy's Little Girl

Daddy's Little Girl

His back was turned to us so that was a plus. Some members scowled at me but I ignored them, instantly getting into form and shut my eyes. I slowly began to squat, like the others were doing. Soon I was in sync, taking deep breaths as I went, freeing my thoughts and focusing on the sound of the wave crashing on the shore. We had switched forms and I wobbled. The instructor was behind me in an instant. His large hands held my waist in place and for a second, my breathing quickened. "Close your eyes and breathe," his lips were behind my ear now and I almost choked on my spit at the raspy sound.

Banished With His Heir

Banished With His Heir

I probably seemed like a dwarf next to a giant wolf, but Cris was staring at me terrified and if wolves could sweat, he would be doing that right now. “This technique only works when you’re doing it the right way so if you don’t, you’re just slowly killing yourself.” I explained to him and his wolf just stared at me, still unsure. I walked closer to him and gently placed my hand on the side of his head and started to caress it. “Find your inner breathing. Don’t just hold your breath. Inhale deep, deep, deep and then cut. Don’t think about anything else. Empty your mind, your body, and focus on your inner breathing.”

Navy Em
Great story and I was very satisfied with the ending. My only critique would be if you describe the female as being a strong fighter then you should back it up. Keira cried through this whole story. She only fought back once. overall it was a great story. I highly recommend.

Stranded with the Billionaire

Stranded with the Billionaire

Warmth from his muscles. "When someone lies," she stammered. "Their hands don't move. If they tell the truth, they will move."His lungs burned as cool air filled them. His chest moves as if he is smiling. "Really?" He asks. Nod. "What else?" Why doesn't he let her say what she wants to say? "Sage , I..." "Is there anything else, Miss . Derrick ?" She closed her eyes, forcing another fact into her head. "If you can't sleep, try the 4-7-8 technique. Inhale for four seconds. Hold for 7. Exhale for 8. "

Another Chance

Another Chance

I focused on his touch- tried to focus on his touch but my breathing was too rough and I could hardly hear anything that was said. “That's it, Sara, keep breathing slowly in and out” And I listened. I breathed deeply, in through the nose and out through the mouth. I did my best to slow down but I couldn't help but think that I needed to get out of there now. “1. 2, 3,4” He counted with my breathing.

Crave Me,Kill Me

Crave Me,Kill Me

The system pinged again: :: EMOTIONAL REGULATION STABILIZING :: USER INITIATOR: E. VALE :: COMMENT: NO FEEDBACK REQUIRED. BREATH IS BEHAVIORAL MODELING. TRUST GAINED THROUGH UNCHANGED PRESENCE. A boy, maybe six, exhaled through his nose. It was a shaky breath. But when no one corrected him, no one adjusted the pace, no one reached to soothe he took the next one deeper. And this time?

Switched at the Mafia Auction

Switched at the Mafia Auction

He reached out and brushed a strand of hair from my face — absentminded, gentle. “I don’t like leaving in the mornings,” he confessed quietly. “You have work.” “I know.” There was frustration beneath it. Not at me. At circumstance. “You don’t have to be everywhere at once,” I told him. “I know,” he repeated. But he still looks back twice before exiting the room each morning qs if memorizing the sight of me resting there. The midwives have begun teaching me breathing techniques. Slow inhales. Controlled exhales. Visualization. They dim the lights during practice and speak softly. “Imagine the pain as a wave,” one says. “It rises. It peaks. It falls. You are not drowning. You are riding it.”

Beneath the Whip

Beneath the Whip

Slowly, deliberately, I inhaled and exhaled, hoping he would mimic me. At first, there was no response. His gaze remained distant, and his chest rose and fell erratically. But I didn’t stop. “You’re doing great,” I encouraged, offering a small, reassuring smile. “Just keep trying.” Gradually, almost imperceptibly at first, his breathing began to shift. The quick, shallow gasps slowed, becoming more measured as he started to match my rhythm. I continued to guide him, keeping my tone soft and consistent. “In through your nose,” I repeated gently, drawing in a long breath. “Out through your mouth.”

Her Therapist:A forbidden romance

Her Therapist:A forbidden romance

“You can’t call me that.” “I just did.” He leaned over me. “Hands on your ribs.” I lifted my hands awkwardly to my sides. “No,” he murmured, and his fingers brushed mine, positioning them lower. “Here. Feel what moves.” I tried to breathe, but it came out shallow. He noticed. “Exhale slowly through your mouth.” I obeyed, lips parting. The sound left me soft, shaky. “Again. In through the nose. Fill the ribs. Feel them expand into your palms. Slower.” He paused. “Good. And exhale.”

THE GOODBYE HE MISSED

THE GOODBYE HE MISSED

He did not say anything about it. Sophia saw it too. He knew she saw it because her shoulders adjusted — not relaxing, not yet, but the specific micro-shift of someone incorporating new data. Ethan was breathing. He had the sequence Dr. Sable had given him — the inhale count, the hold, the exhale — and he was executing it with the focused discipline of a child who had been doing breathing exercises every morning for three weeks and had understood from the beginning that understanding why something worked made you more likely to do it correctly.

great start..concise with nuances. hope it would end the same way. not tooo many chapters that the main characters became watered down with so many side stories. i'm reading along slowly... so that i don't have to wait for updates. keep up the good work, dear author!
Miriam
I'm only on chapter 5 of this story and I'm so invested. It's well written and I love how the female lead, Sophia, is depicted. I hope things work out for her and the children, away from the man who doesn't recognize the value in the family he's neglected.

Mark Me, Reject Me, Beg Me

Mark Me, Reject Me, Beg Me

The first sign is small. So small I almost miss it. It happens in the courtyard, late afternoon, while I’m helping Asher practice controlled shifting drills with Kieran watching nearby. We’ve made it a routine since the Eclipse. No more spontaneous transformations. No more uncontrolled bursts of energy. “Focus on your breathing,” I tell Asher, crouching to his level. “In through your nose. Slow. Hold. Out through your mouth.” He copies me with exaggerated seriousness.
