The Luna Queen's Blood Oath
I saw emblems I recognized the roaring bear of the Graniteclaw Pack, the twin eagles of the Sky-Hunter Tribe and many I did not.
Then, I saw it. A skeleton slumped at the base of a massive pine, a rusted sword still clutched in its bony fingers. Around its neck, on a corroded chain, was a pendant. It was a simple, hammered silver disc, etched with the crescent moon and a single, stylized wolfsbane flower.
My breath hitched. It was the mark of my own ancestors, the one my grandfather had described to me from old family lore the symbol of the Blackwood pioneers who had first tried to forge alliances with the northern packs centuries ago.
