“I was taken from me.”
Silence.
He looked at her like he had not considered that.
She pulled her knees to her chest.
“I feel watched all the time,” she said. “Even when I’m alone.”
“You are not alone,” he said.
“That’s the problem.”
That night, she dreamed, but not of Drogo, but a room made of mirrors.
She walked, every reflection lagged, every face was hers, but wrong. Then one reflection smiled when she did not.
