Along Came A Spider Audiobook Novels & Stories

Call me paranoid. Call me what you will. But this place was freakish, and never more clearly than now as I pushed through a crowd gathered around a transparent tank in which an armless and horribly burn-scarred man wearing nothing but a Speedo sat among thousands of hairy spiders that crawled over his body like a shivering coat of fleece. The onlookers squealed as the object of their delight opened his mouth, inviting one of the hairy crawlers inside. When the spider accepted the invitation, their voices grew even shriller. When the man bit into it, they lost all semblance of belonging to a civilized species.

However, just as he was about to leave the scene, he heard a chuckling sound that made his scalp tingle. "Chee chee." He turned to face the direction of the sound and spotted a Humanoid Spider. The Humanoid Spider was slightly bigger than a bull, and its body was black and white. Its face was terrifyingly pale as if it was wearing a mask. Silently, Lucas thought that the spider was capable of scaring everybody back in Hatton. 'It is a spider, but it has a human face.' "I never expected a human to show up in my territory." The Humanoid Spider smiled arrogantly.

I had to try to teleport. I kept stomping as I thought of king Alexander's class. He was my safest choice but I got nothing. I tried to push myself there but still nothing. I gnashed my teeth and willed myself to move but nothing still. A spider fell on my shoulder and my anxiety took over and I was running around in a circle while trying to will myself to teleport. Maybe it had to do with the soul. I had to do something. I kept having to push off the tiny black spiders that had long fangs that magically appeared when they needed to attack. One bite and I believe I was dead.

This spider was a Goliath Birdeater, and it was looking directly at me. A scream that I have never screamed comes from the depths of my soul. I can feel the difference in the tone as it exits through my vocal cords. The second the sound radiates towards the spider, it moves. Instantly I step back away from it and fall into the coffee table and all the way through it onto the ground.

I said, my voice getting louder with each word. A large disfigured spider, almost the same size as me, jumped out; its eyes were pitch black, and it had a scorpion's stinger at its back. "Stay away!" I yelled as I struggled. "Is someone there?! Magnus! Meredith!" I transformed halfway into my wolf form and growled at the spider, hoping to scare it away, but it persisted forward. The spider's beady eyes fixed on me, and it charged towards me with an eerie screech. I screamed, struggling to escape from the grip of the quicksand. But the spider ran straight into the quicksand, sinking like I was.

“I’m not staying here.” “Oh, but you are,” Honey said, all silken tones. “If you want to live through the next week, you sure as hell are.” “Nuh-uh,” Spider said, all defiant and dumb. “I’d rather be fully eviscerated than stay here with that man for five minutes.” “Well, I’m sure that The Fallen Angels will oblige you,” Honey said. “And I’m sure they’ll happily use a rusty spoon to drag your insides outside. Sounds good to you?”

I looked up, only to find glowing orbs framed by red. A spider. The spider! It was coming for me. It had trapped me in its web. The clicking sounds resumed with a frenzy, and I watched helplessly as the spider somehow grew in size and began to rush towards me, its pincers snapping. No! I opened my eyes with a gasp.

Wilbur picked up the crystal core from the ant-man and the black broken sword from the ground, saying, "These look good. Let's go." The three of them soon arrived at B4 and then proceeded to B3. It was pitch black. Wilbur used the light spell to lead everyone in, only to find that the ceiling and the ground were covered with dense spider webs. As soon as the three of them entered B3, the three giant spiders seemed to sense the scent of prey and became extremely excited. They descended from the walls one after another, and the huge spiders rushed towards the three of them quickly.

“One-hour cooldown. That was it.” Hayley let out a short breath. “Right… so that was our one miracle then.” “Pretty much.” Sofia stared at the boss. “That’s insane damage.” “Yeah,” Riley muttered. “Which probably means—” The spider shrieked. The sound tore through the cavern, sharp and furious, echoing off the walls. Then the ground moved. Webbing tore. And they came. Spiderlings. They dropped from above, poured from the walls, flooded the floor in a wave that shattered the moment instantly.

A third circled the flickering outline between them, tightening every time she tried to reach outward. The web hummed, a low, hungry sound. “Come, little spider,” a voice whispered. It didn’t come from above or below. It came from everywhere at once, sliding along the threads, seeping into the gap between my teeth. “What?” I rasped. I tried to move. My body didn’t answer. Both versions of me remained bound, caught. “You’ve crawled so far,” the voice murmured, almost fond. “Out of cages. Out of graves. Out of your own fear. All the way to the center of my work.”
