I rubbed a hand over the surface and grinned. "You acknowledge me now, don't you? I am about to achieve what you never dreamed of achieving. You are proud of me now, aren't you?" I said. The cool air ruffled my hair as I rose to my feet and spat on the grave stone. "Serves you right, father. Rot in hell. I sincerely hope you'll do that. I am your son. Your only son. And, I, Killian Black, am the Alpha of Crescent Creek Pack, the pack you treasured so much. Who's laughing now?"

Alpha Killian let go of my hands that instant. “I would never reject what’s mine, dear mate! Now, come with me.” he said, walking a little distant from me. This gave me opportunity to go farther. “No, this is impossible. Why would you want me?” I protested, running back into the river. The river drenched my clothes again making me wet all over again.
