The alpha makes himself comfortable on the sofa in the middle of the room and pours himself a glass of wine with his leg crossed like everyone and everything is at the palm of his hand. “Tell me, pretty boy, how did you convince my father and everyone else that you're an alpha? You don't even look like one, especially with that waist of you,” his lips curl into a cunning smile as he lifts the glass and swirls the wine. “Do you know what happens to an Omega pretending to be an Alpha in a crime syndicate?”

“You all can't be seriously listening to some Omega,” “And that Omega is my chosen mate and the Luna of this pack.” Alpha Rowan finally steps forward, his eyes dark as they drill a hole through the Beta's face. He takes the glass from Sage's hand and brings it to his nose, then shrugs. “I smell nothing wrong with the wine, but if he says there's something in it, then I believe him.” Beta Callen gasps. “Alpha Rowan, I've been your Beta for years, you are seriously listening to an omega over me.”

Seeing his omega's demeanour, Alpha Ortega followed his omega's gaze. Beta Ajay explained, "these two bottles are our latest products, Alpha. This is the newest type of wine, the yellow label is white port and the red one is ice wine. Please try them!" After Beta Ajay's explanation, the omega who had been silent began to move to pour the two newest types of wine they had produced. Beta Ajay also looked at the omega, with just a gesture of their eyes they both moved together out of the alpha's private room. Moments after his subordinates left, Alpha Ortega got up from his seat. He walked to the window. Opening it, he gazed out at the busy workers still harvesting grapes.

He was sending message to his only friend, Adom. The most delectable, earth-shattering scent worked its way through Ash foggy brain as she took deep breaths. The scent of apples and jasmine and a beautiful base note of roses all accented by the most perfect scent of Alpha he had ever had the pleasure of smelling invaded hid lungs. She sat bolt upright as his eyes sprang open, which was a mistake, not the biggest one he had made today, admittedly, but bad enough. Alpha handed Sophie our drinks, and walked to the table with his own. Sitting down we all read the menu to decide what we wanted to eat. I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat so I ordered the chef specials, so did Sophie and alpha, My appetite was insatiable. While waiting for my food to arrive i was drinking my coconut rum and cokes, I really didn't understand what the deal was with drinking was, the taste wasn't that great and it made my stomach churn, and I was beginning to feel nauseous.

"The Alpha really has excellent taste." The Alpha just looked at Olivia with a slight nod, not saying a word. Lily was feeling uncomfortable with Olivia's attitude but didn't want to create more trouble. At that moment, a waiter passed by offering glasses of wine. Olivia took two glasses, one for herself and one for Lily. She extended the glass to the slave with a sarcastic smile on her lips. "You should try some of this wine. It's excellent," Olivia said, a malicious glint in her eyes. "I'm sure the Alpha would love to share this glass with you."

I couldn’t understand what her prolonged stare meant. “ Introduce yourself, Lana. ” She spoke when I stared back at her. My lips formed an O shape. Realization dawned upon me. Facing the three Alphas, I blinked awkwardly. Was I supposed to bow in respect or what? “ Hey? ” I waved my hand instead. “ I am Nor… ” Satan’s Buttocks! Not Nora. I coughed to clear my throat as all three of them stared at me with their penetrating eyes. “ I am Lana Redley. And I was chosen as the omega for the year by His Highness, Alpha King of the West. ” It sounded like Lana this time, right?

He crossed to a side table and poured the wine himself. “Ode, you may deliver Tara’s dinner in twenty minutes.” The guttybrew stepped from the room and closed the door behind him. I took the wineglass from Talon’s fingers with special care so we didn’t touch. Amusement lit his expression and gentle flames leaped in his eyes, then quickly died. The somber look returned. He waved at two chairs facing the fire.

“No pressure, then.” Corvin arched a brow. “You’re already under it. You just keep pretending you’re not.” Silence stretched between us, heavy with things I didn’t want named. “What happens,” I asked finally, “if the Alpha rejects the bond?” Corvin didn’t answer right away. He stared into his mug, jaw tightening. “Then the fire looks elsewhere,” he said. “And gods help anyone standing in its path.” My wolf snarled uneasily. I stood, heart pounding. “You’re saying she’s dangerous.”
