He smiles at me briefly before placing the glasses on the table and then popping the cork “Alpha, may I?” He asks before handing Alexander the cork to smell the fragrance. Nodding, Alexander smiles and then states happily, “That will be fine.” Before the waiter pours exactly a half a glass for each of us. Bowing, he smiles and then says softly with a twinkle in his eyes, “By the way, I am Robert, but everyone calls me Bob.”

“Her too.” Kael steps forward. “Council law says the Head of Council can be removed by unanimous vote of the remaining Alphas. Borin?” “Aye,” Borin says. “Winter Tooth votes aye. Her hand slid boldly down his chiseled abs. "Where did you find an Omega mate this obedient?" Behind me, clothes rustled. Breaths grew heavy. They started moving toward the bedroom, still wrapped around each other. The woman's heels dropped onto the floor. Owen's tie was ripped off, reeking of that woman's heavy scent. I slipped out of the room. I wouldn't disturb the two animals. Twenty minutes later, the butler, John, appeared before me looking awkward. "Madam, the Alpha asked you to fetch a bottle of red wine from the cellar." He avoided my eyes. "A 1982 Romanée-Conti."

I saw her hand go over her stomach from beneath the table, and her head was over West’s shoulder. “Ocean, should you get the wine, or should I ask the Gamma to bring the most expensive wine. We should celebrate tonight.” West was excited, he couldn’t hide it, every part of his body screamed excitement as if he had been waiting for this moment. He held Mom’s hand and kissed it. “I’ll get the wine,” Ocean said. “Okay, you should get the wine.” “I’ll be back soon.” Ocean stood up from the table, and he walked out of the dining room. He had gone out of the house to get the most expensive wine, since that’s what Alpha had ordered us to have tonight.

Adam POV . . I swung my office door, creating a loud creaking sound. Striding quickly as I could, looking for my future beta. I passed by an omega whose name I couldn't recall. Was it Vicky, Nikki?! "You!" I condescendingly called instead. "Good evening, Alpha!" This omega bowed at me in fear. She was holding a tray with two bottles of wine in a bucket full of ice. "Have the guests left?" I was out for a couple of hours now, and for sure, all of the guests had already gone home. I really didn't have the appetite to entertain them anymore after what happened.

I had to go and pay them a proper visit later tonight. The omega filled the cup with wine and I let the smell linger in my nose for a bit before grabbing the handle of the cup. My ears twitched, picking up on the speed I heard in the hallway. But then, I heard my Beta's panicked thoughts through the pack's mind link. "DON'T DRINK THE WINE, ALPHA!" I immediately let go of the cup's handle. "Is anything the matter, Alpha?" The omega asked, "The elders made this, especially for you."
