She gave Alex a wink and a smirk and turned to grab Shane's hand, leading him back to the toilets. "Well, I understand you," Shane said, and they stop in mid-way and Ashly turns to look at him. "Really? You also got a bitchy Alpha who cheated on you." Shane laughed while shaking his head. "Wow, thanks to God, we are in America. You know what happens to omegas who call their alphas bitches?" Ashly shook her head. "Yes, I know". Shane smiles and takes a deep breath. "Well, I am beta, and yes, I have an Alpha who cheated on me, and I leave him when he crosses his line."

It was Alpha, and boy, did it smell really amazing, like home. Allen shook her head as she tried to concentrate on Ohm's scent, which was barely there, and before she could get it, she was tackled on the ground and was now laying on her back with another wolf pinning her down. The wolf was huge, and it smelled like the same alpha she had been smelling before. The wolf's fur was black with a reddish tint, and his eyes were gold. He was gorgeous, and Allen had never seen a wolf like that before. When Allen looked up, she saw the Alpha growling at Allen and showing his canine teeth. Allen whimpered and closed her eyes. "I need you to shift." Ash shakes his head and whimpers once more. "Shift Ash," Alex demands in his alpha voice. Ash whines, and within minutes, he is back to his human self once more. "Gorgeous," Alex says as he drops his head and rubs his nose against the side of Ash's neck. Ash tilts his head to the side. When Alex gets a good whiff, he feels like he could get high off of Ash's scent. It was the most delicious thing he had ever smelled in his lifetime, and Alex was glad that it belonged to the beautiful omega.

The only thing that Roan was missing was an eye patch to really give the bad guy vibes. “I was about to implement my second phase of the takeover,” Roan walked in front of his men. He brought easily two dozen men to back him up. “Then lo and behold, one of my men comes back and presents me with a lovely note from the Alpha of the Mountain Creek Pack.” He stopped in front of us and gave a smile. “Are you ready to surrender, so easily?” I waited a moment for Malachi to respond, but he didn’t. “Fuck no,” I said for him.

"I will be calling for a Wild Hunt. The weres will run him to ground and finish him." There was a lull in conversation. The Wild Hunt was a serious matter, meaning that those who committed to it would not rest until the quarry was captured. And it appeared the Alpha would lead it. The Alpha was actually a werewolf, so the desire to hunt was strong in his blood. Several of Shane's weres looked at him, waiting for a sign. When he nodded, all of the weres of Shane's house, with the exception of Travis McNeil and Sebastian, stepped forward.

“I’m simply following the Alpha’s orders. My job is to protect her from any harm or threat. That includes you.” Chloe’s nostrils flared. “I am the future Luna. You dare stand against me?” He gave a small shrug, completely unfazed. “I don’t take orders from ‘future’ anything. I obey the Alpha, the one who holds authority now, not the one you keep promising yourself you’ll become.” Her friends shifted behind her with outrage on their faces, but Shane didn’t blink. “Besides,” he added with a casual shrug, “you and I both know I’m already on your bad side. So what’s the point of your warning? I might as well do as I like and probably kill myself when you actually become Luna which may be never.”

Zane's voice was rarely raised, which made his current near-shout all the more startling. We were back in the apartment. I'd just finished explaining everything. "I agreed to have dinner with him," I repeated. "One meal. That's all." "That's all?" Zane paced the small living room like a caged animal. "Aurelia, do you understand what you're dealing with? Beta Shane rushed through the main hallway of the Moonlit Pack mansion. Morning light filtered through tall windows, but Shane hardly saw it-his thoughts were racing. He turned a sharp corner and burst into Alpha Jake's office, not even waiting to knock. Jake looked up from the report on rogue werewolves and vampires. "Shane? What's-" Shane closed the door behind him and practically threw himself onto the sofa beside Jake's desk. He extended his hand, holding a folded photograph. "Look at this, Alpha."

That was going to leave me bare and that was a lot of risk which I was not willing to take at the moment. The only thing I wanted to do right now is to make sure that everything is going on fine. "So what? You came here after hearing that Christopher has been defeated." I deflected, acting as though I didn't have an idea of why they came.
