Shane tilted his head and grinned at Kelvin before speaking "Kay, you didn't tell me that she is this beautiful" 'Wait! What!?' Alisha thought 'Did Kelvin talked to Shane about me? Oh my God, this can't be happening' Kelvin decided not to reply and only smiled back at Shane's question. Alisha looked between the two adonises that were standing in front of her and noticed that Kelvin was few inches taller than Shane. Shane Carter was the only child of Mr Richard Carter, a billionaire who lost his wife as well as the mother of Shane some years back to a tragic car accident. And surprisingly, he hadn't planned on taking another wife after the incident.

It was Shane. His leather tunic was torn at the shoulder, but his eyes held none of the pain or confusion he had shown during the search in the eastern wing. They were cold, empty, and burning with a dark, ruthless intent. In his right hand, he held a long, double-edged broadsword, its steel gleaming under the silver moonlight. Shane stood over the bed, looking down at the comatose Alpha King. A cold, wicked smirk touched his lips. "You should have died on the border, Dominic," Shane whispered, his voice smooth and devoid of any loyalty. "Now I have to finish what the witch started."

Alpha Asher growled, his eyes dark and murderous as we sped down the narrow town roads. "Alpha Bran?" I questioned. "If he wasn't content on being a f**king nuisance, his men would have been here by now." Alpha Asher snarled, "We would have outnumbered them easily." "We can win against them, can't we?" Alpha Asher's words held a certain conviction that filled me with strength. He was so sure of his pack, of their ability to handle this threat.

Zane said, his eyes wide with horror. "I have to," Ash said. He turned away from the hill, walking toward the pack. He didn't look like an Alpha anymore. He looked like a widower. "The Rhea I loved is dead. And I won't let the thing that killed her destroy what's left of my family." He kept walking, his steps heavy and mechanical. He didn't look back when the first scream of a Shadow-beast echoed from the north. He didn't look back when the silver light of the eclipse began to wash the world in a pale, sickly glow.

I move from the bed, Connor follows me pinching the bridge of his nose, his body visibly vibrating with fury but his voice quiet. The quiet he likes to maintain before his anger ups like a Category 5 storm. “You went fuck…you went too far this time, Shane. I admit she drove me wild for a second but I withdrew my teeth from her neck. That’s what we do, we draw back because alphas are blood thirsty fuckers who wreck everything. I managed to withdraw why didn’t you huh? What? You and Sage have some plausible explanation for this? She-“ He bites his fist. “She’s gotta wake up, Shane otherwise I won’t—”

Shane wanted to kick himself for celebrating too soon. He thought his alpha was in such a good mood that he forgot about Sandra but that was not the case. How was he going to get Sandra? “I hear you alpha, what did you have in mind?” Shane had his hands on his back with his fingers crossed hoping his alpha was not thinking of any violence.

“Woah Woah, one question at a time! Honestly, it was overwhelming. His name is Ethan… and… he’s the Alpha of Desert Moon.” Her jaw drops and her eyes move left and right as she tries to come to terms with what I just told her. “You’re saying… that your Goddess-given mate is the Alpha of this pack? She didn't even stop or turn around even when her mother called her name. I couldn't help but shakes my head again when Shan was no longer in front of us. But not because she looked at me sharply but because I felt like I was a villain in her life. I'm like a female villain in a novel who wants to separate Shan and Phil because of my prejudice toward the latter. Shan and Phil are the main protagonists and I am the villain.
