Loki was much larger than either of them and the deep rumbling growl emanating from his chest was a warning that they foolishly ignored. He was a much more powerful Wolf than the Rogues and he sent out his Alpha Aura to press down on them ‘I am Alpha Loki and this is my Mate, Melody and I do not give you a choice. Bow and submit to this Alpha immediately or die.' .

Every wolf was waiting for me to show them that I was worth following. Then Vera howled. Her voice rose into the cold air, fierce and defiant. It was the howl of a warrior ready to fight, a friend ready to stand beside me. And Elias. His howl was deeper, older, full of the weight of years and secrets. It was the howl of a man who had kept his promise, a man who had finally been set free. And Kael. His howl was the howl of an Alpha, proud and strong, full of love and faith. It was the howl of a man who had found his mate and would never let her go. And then the pack howled.

My wolf loses sanity, instantly taking almost full control of our body and lunging forward at him. He changes, ripping through his clothes into a dark brown wolf smaller than mine. We brawl for moments; deadly strikes follow after the other. I lean in for his jugular vein but the first pounces unto us from the back, now its two against one. My wolf is fed up with this. He releases a deathly howl into the air that moves the winds and shakes the earth beneath us. The howl of an Alpha King reverberates through our body in all its might and terror.

Thanks to this one,” he stretched his hand to my neck and, picking up the cord, pulled out my cross-artifact, “an amusing little thing. Maxim grabbed the cross and clenched it in his fist, at that moment I was as if scorched by heat, a ringing sounded in my head, as if a bell had been struck nearby.

Alpha noticed it and thrust a cloth soaked in cold water in my mouth, which eased some of the pain. "Communicate with your wolf, it would be easier" his voice soothing me for a few seconds. My wolf was pawing at the back of my mind aggressively, eager to be released. I tried pleading with it in my mind to calm down so we could work as a team.
