Her wolf lay sprawled in the grass, breathing heavily but alive. Slowly, she shifted back, her form glowing faintly in the dark clearing.
“I’m okay,” she said, pushing herself up. Her voice was strained but steady. “What about you?”
Ren’s eyes blazed with anger as he turned back to Alaric, who stood grinning beside the black pool, the shadows swirling around him like a storm.
“You can’t stop it,” Alaric said, his voice reverberating with power. “The forest is mine. The humans, the wolves… you’re all too late.”
