Third person's POV: "Christy, Why have you called us here? What important news did you have to share?" Two girls asked. The girl named Christy said, "My rival has come." The girls were confused. "Elaborate." One of them said, raising her brows. "I heard Alpha Theodore found his mate." "Yeah." They nodded. "I thought he would be mateless forever!" One of them spoke. "His mate is a human. A lowly human doesn’t deserve alpha Theodore." Christy mentioned.

Drusilla retracted the dagger and lowered his head to Amelia's neck, bringing their faces infinitely close. His lips parted in Amelia's ear. "But I miss you so much." He stuck out the tip of his tongue and licked behind Amelia's ear, causing Amelia to shudder. Drusilla got up and circled across from Amelia. "Speaking of which, Alpha Alexander is really capable. I played such a big game, and he broke it easily. I don't know if I should call him smart or complain about those Alphas being stupid. " "However, I prefer the latter. Looking at the not too familiar features up close knocked fucking breath out of my lungs. I could study his entire build for days and never get tired but the cocky smirk that curled up his lips and the mate scent that hit my nose threw me right back to reality. ‘Mate!’ my no-name wolf growled again, more possessively and a sob threatened to escape my lips. Levi had now squeezed his way in between the two, causing them to break the fight up once again. Turning to face me, the large wolf started to slowly walk towards me, but Kenzie put her hand out. “Maximus, you need to wait, she has no idea what's going on.” She told him, causing him to stop in his tracks, locking eyes with the woman. “Is it hu-human too?” I asked softly, which caused the wolfs ears to pick up instantly. “Do you not feel any attraction at all?” She turned to look at me, concern written on her face. “Don’t you have a wolf inside you?” she then asked quickly, taking her flashlight out to look into my eyes once more.

That very day, Alex was officially stripped of his Alpha title and exiled by his own pack. At one point, my phone buzzed with an unknown number. But I was too busy—standing beside Luke, wearing white, raising a glass with my true mate. I didn't answer. Later that night, the headlines came like a final blow. The Alpha wouldn't mark you unless you're his...mate.” Her gaze lingers on me and I shuffle on my feet. “Is–is that a bad thing?” My voice trembles with dread as I ask. “Yes. You are human,” She stresses before pacing in front of me. “If the other females find out, not only will they harm you but I will be their target too.” At this point, she is rambling but I'm not paying attention. My mind drifts to when i first met him —the Alpha– in the forest , where he called me mate but he didn't seem too pleased about it.

The room was quiet. He looked at the three of them standing there bleeding on his floor and felt something that was close to anger rising in his blood. He moved. It wasn't long. It wasn't dramatic. Two of them hit the floor before the third one fully understood what was happening and by then it was already over. The one with the thigh wounds stood completely still, hand still pressed to the side of his leg, breathing in a way that was trying very hard to stay even. "The Alpha's cousin."
