I turned to Gaia. “You once mentioned a cousin in the West whose help we can count on?” I asked just to be sure. She nodded. “Her name is Alia, High witch of the West”, she said. “She is a direct descendant of the Earth Goddess and a very powerful witch”, she told me. “She is highly respected by the witches in the West. And I am certain we can count on her support to stand against Arwyn and Alaric”, she said. I nodded at her words.

The last thing I needed was for her to think I was trying to protect her. Grandmother gestured her forward. “Come stand beside your Alpha.” Ember complied, though I felt her annoyance spike through the bond. You dragged me into this, her eyes seemed to say. No time better than the present. A tall dark haired woman appeared, swords in hand. “You have decided to train in the arts of war. I am to be your guide. I am Alke, daughter of Cybele, grandchild of Zeus and Gaia. I will be your guide and trainer from this point forward.” Her wings spread as she floated above the ground. The twins nodded towards her.
