Always Two There Are Novels & Stories

"Today, the High King will make our marriage official. Remember what I told you before." His voice was like ice. "After we're married, we'll live separate lives. Play nice, and maybe I'll let you save some dignity in this marriage." I was floored. How could the heir to our kind say something so outrageous? He took my silence for consent, his grin growing wider. "Just keep in line, and I won't let you embarrass yourself in public." He was sure I would fall in line. Then came the sound of footsteps. The High King's right-hand man, his second-in-command, stepped out—with Damon, the werewolf, in tow.

The restaurant is hanging on a loose thread and I can't afford to let it go since I know I can do something about it" Josie and Jake were about to leave when someone appeared before them and Josie froze .

I said " Just like Adam and Shawn both like you " she stated and smiled. " Wait what?. Really? " I asked her in surprise. Cole said this one time too Are they right? Can they both really like me? " Yes they both like you. And I think you like them both too " she said " Really?. No I don't " I said with a frown " Keep saying it till you believe it. " She said and peeled her banana before taking a big bite. I don't like them both

I smile at him, earning a small smile back. “One last thing though,” There’s something else? “It’s not ‘it’… it’s ‘they’” Huh? What is he talking about? They? ‘Al… pups. THEY as in how many pups.’ ‘WAIT! AS IN MORE THAN ONE?’ Ty gives a little chuckle and I can feel just how amused she is. Not one but more than one? So, two? “Th… THEY?!” “Uh… yeah… um… yeah…” What do you mean ‘um… yeah’? what the fu.ck kind of answer is that?!

Not long after, he returned with just the right amount of apology on his face. “I’m afraid I can’t accompany you to your follow-up appointment tonight. “St. Alban Academy just called and said they added a last-minute family banquet tonight. The children of several old mafia families will be there, so I need to take Luca to make an appearance.” I looked up at him. His expression was flawless. Even the hint of apology in his eyes looked carefully practiced. After five years of marriage, I had never realized that he used the same tone when lying as when whispering sweet words to me.

“So… which disaster are we tackling first?” Arin leaned in, flipping through his notes. “Probability and statistics. I’ve been waiting for you to come save me from confusion.” Lily rolled her eyes playfully. “You’re the one who’s obsessed with numbers. I just make them less terrifying.” Study and Connection The morning passed in a blur of equations, diagrams, and debates over the correct interpretations of data. Arin had a habit of leaning close when he explained a point, his shoulder brushing against Lily’s. Each touch sent a small thrill down her spine, though she pretended to be entirely absorbed in her work.

"No, no, no. Right, I'll put this in simple terms for you." "Yes, your wolf is slightly confused with what is happening to you, but that isn't the issue. Kol and Kaden are both, by what you've told me, your mates." "Some wolves have two mates. It's very rare but I have come across it twice for me in this job." I gawp in shock. "What?! How does that work? How can I have two? How can I choose between them?" Mr Paulson shakes his head. "The strange thing is, you don't. You can mate both of them and have a happy life. It is easier to choose one or the other, but it has been done and can work out well if done right."

"Just a bit crowded. Mr. Thorne, if you look right there... that’s a second pulse. You aren't having a child. You’re having two." The silence in the room was absolute. I stared at the two shadows on the screen. Twins. Two Thorne heirs. Two reasons for Eleanor to never leave me alone. Two reasons for the board to fight over our marriage. My head started to swim. "Two," Dominic whispered. He sounded like he’d been hit in the chest with a sledgehammer. "Identical," Rossi added, sounding way too cheerful for someone who had just doubled my problems. "Everything looks perfectly healthy."

he said, shaking my hand and leaving me with my thoughts. He was right. Once you found your mate, you only became stronger. And with an Alpha, that was ten times more. A Luna provided more strength, they had a mate connection that no one else did. They could read each other's mind, feel each other’s emotions and make each other better. Did I make a mistake because I was too scared to let anything happen to Lisa? The door opened and my Beta, Alex poked his head in, “A Kate is here to see you.”

But the other part… the other part of me wonders if I should just leave. I walk to our waterfall; mine, and Nessa’s. It’s almost more my home than the cabin is. It’s where it all started and is my favorite place to think. “Okay.” I start. “Okay.” Ness says back. “Here is what we know. Nathaniel has a twin.” “Yep. Twins. Check.” Nessa says with a smile I can hear. “Okay miss cheery wolf, calm down.” “What?” she says. “This is exciting! Not one, but TWO mates? Girl we are going to be tired AF once the mate bond is complete.”
