“My condition has changed but I will not cancel that dinner. So, to ease your mind, you can join us.” I am sure that they will worry for me, especially since I am not just by myself anymore. I will just have to explain to my in-laws why I also invited my friends over. I don’t want to cancel that dinner because I know that everyone is looking forward to that. Don Emil and Madame Venice were already excited about that. Millie was also excited to meet her grandparents. “If that is what you want.” They messed my hair up and tapped Enver’s shoulder again. “Then, congrats to our baby number two.” And then, they gave us privacy by leaving the room.

~Jane~ The bell rang. And just like that… everything slipped back into reality. Our world—soft, quiet, untouched—faded away. Time was up. Time to be apart again. “Together.” They both nodded in agreement, and we continued to plan into the night. As I finally made my way to my room, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride and determination.
