As she passed Stephanie she held her head higher. “Is that really what she’s wearing?” asked Stephanie to her little click, not knowing that Blake was standing in earshot. He would deal with her afterward but now wasn’t the time or place. Amelia reached the pyre, and Jax lay peacefully on top of it. It was decorated with the most beautiful flowers but what caught Amelia’s eye was the fact that Jax was holding a bunch of the most floral Jasmine she’d ever smelt. AMELIA'S POV The moment my eyes locked with Rose's, my heart skipped a beat. I slid my phone back into my pocket, but it was too late. She already saw what I was about to do. She smiled dryly, weaving her palms into each other, "I used to think you are smart, Amelia." Her words pierced through the lingering silence, her voice barely audible over my racing heart. "But with this, you proved me wrong." she said scanning the room with a quick glance.

Amelia didn't want to turn back, but if she pretended not to hear, Jenny might whisper something in Alex's ear again and Alex would come after her again. She turned her head and looked at the two men coldly. Alex froze for a moment. Amelia was bright and beautiful with exquisite makeup. She always used to wear straight hair, or long hair pulled back in the head, but today her long hair permed into wavy curls, with exquisite features and a lustrous red dress. She looks like a genie in the dark as sexy and seductive.

Their fragrant smell made her anxious heart calm down quite a bit. “It is good that you like them,” Axel said with a smile. “Come on, I want you to have dinner with me,” he spoke, gesturing for Amelia to enter the room. “Where is the important event that you wanted to attend? Won’t you be late?” it was only after Amelia was invited to the private room that she remembered the ‘important event’ that they were supposed to attend.

Amelia liked it so much, she even kissed one of those lovely roses. Adam bent over beside her. He tried to cut some of those roses off to present her, but got stopped by Amelia.

Rosa said "I will Rosa", Amelia said as she looked around to see if anyone was around. "I'm here to see Mr Rasmos," She said, her voice, a little above a whisper. "No, he's not, is there a problem?" she asked, looking worried. "Hold on, you look different today, your face looks fuller like someone pregnant" Rosa blurted and Amelia choked on her iced tea. "Come on Rosa, stop saying rubbish, I'm not pregnant," Amelia said Rosa.

Before the food even arrived, a server brought over a bouquet of bright red roses. "Excuse me, is one of you Ms. Amelia Atwood? These are from Mr. Felton, congratulating Ms. Atwood on her successful exhibition." Amelia didn't even blink. "Please return them to Mr. Felton," she said flatly. "And let him know I don't like red roses." Red roses were Irina's thing. Amelia preferred pink.
