For the garden party they had today to celebrate Kevin's latest business venture; Rose was trying on an off-white, knee-length dress. “You are real.” Rose was glad he was here, he could potentially save her from the marriage that had been thrust upon her. “Not that I’m not happy to see you, but why are you here?” she asked him in a hushed whisper for fear that her father would be down and she would like to keep her rendezvous a secret. “I don’t believe we’ve met before,” he answered and stretched out his arm in greeting. “I’m Wade.” Stunned into silence she stared at her arm before moving back up to meet his eyes. “What do you mean?” she asked, then leaned into his ear. “We’ve met before, at the club.”
