Perfect Lie

Perfect Lie

He bit his lip to give me what I wanted until suddenly we both arched our backs and knew we had reached the point of happiness. I can't sleep, I've been tossing and turning for hours and every passing second is worse than the last. I lie down on my back and close my eyes. I start counting apples falling from my favorite tree. By the third one, I'm already fed up, and I sit up in bed. Why can't I sleep?

I Sold Myself to the Lycan King

I Sold Myself to the Lycan King

It did something to the air in the room that she noted and chose to ignore. He looked up. "You're awake," he said. "Couldn't sleep." She stepped inside. "You're awake too." "I rarely sleep." "How rarely?" "Three hours. Sometimes four." "That's not—" "I've functioned on three hours for approximately two hundred years." He looked at her. "I think the experiment is concluded."

SINFUL DESIRES

SINFUL DESIRES

“Everything. Sleeping pills, melatonin, CBD, meditation apps, weighted blankets. I’ve counted more sheep than a farmer.” “And nothing helps?” “Nothing.” He leaned forward. “But I’m hoping you can change that.” The way he said it made heat crawl up my neck. Professional. Stay professional. “The study involves six weeks of monitored sleep,” I said. “You’ll spend three nights a week here, hooked up to an EEG to track your brain activity. We’ll also do weekly sessions to discuss your dreams, your sleep patterns, any changes you notice.” “I don’t dream.” “Everyone dreams. You just don’t remember them.”

COUNTER MEASURES

COUNTER MEASURES

“And they participated in the sort of games that you would find in Fifty Shades of Grey.” “Kinky bugger!” Paul exclaimed. “Whoever the woman was suffers from obstructive sleep apnoea.” I showed him the small pocket sown on the back of the nightdress. “They put a hard object like a walnut into this pocket and it prevents them from sleeping on their back. If the sufferer did, sometime in the night they would stop breathing.” “Interesting,” Paul smiled. “You’d better take a look at this. It’s a fax message sent from a dance studio. I wonder why they didn’t telephone or send a text message.”

My Menacingly Handsome Husband

My Menacingly Handsome Husband

Maybe just my period? “Define annoyed,” I sarcastically asked. Then instead of hearing what he wanted to say next, I plugged my airpods in my ears and maxed out the volume of my phone. Thanks to the music, credits to Taylor Swift's Opalite and some random music afterwards, I was able to sleep. I was able to take a nap. When I woke up, I could already see the sky turning orange. Meaning, we're still far. I slept almost 3 hours, or so I guess with no disturbance. Thank you.

A Dangerous Atrophy

A Dangerous Atrophy

“Is it a dream?” The sudden pain jolted the man awake. He was both shocked and ecstatic, disbelieving yet too afraid to close his eyes. He was worried that if he did, she would be gone by the time he opened his eyes again. “It hurts,” he said. “But it doesn’t feel too real. Pinch me again.” She picked up an apple from the side and peeled it quietly. Soon, she offered him the peeled apple. The apple in front of him smelled sweetly like fruit. The man’s deep eyes reflected growing disbelief at all this, so he hesitated instead of accepting it.

Pam
I just finished reading the book, I enjoyed it and found myself looking forward to each chapter. There were moments where it felt neverending and repetitive, nevertheless I can't wait to read the end. In the meantime, I ask other readers what their thoughts of the book and how they hope it will end?

Absolutely amazing! I've been an avid lover of books for my entire life and I can honestly say that this either ties with my favorite novel, The Count of Monte Cristo, or might even surpass it with it's engaging plot, interesting characters, and a writing style that constantly keeps you wanting more

Mated to my Bully Alpha

Mated to my Bully Alpha

I hated this guilty feeling as I looked up at his peaceful face, moving aside the hair on his forehead with feather-light fingers. Just as softly, I took his hand from my waist and placed it on my pillow as I got up from the bed and moved away slowly, so as not to cause much disturbance. The herb that I had mixed in his food wasn’t any high grade sleeping pill that was filled with chemicals, so I was a little skeptical about its workings. But seeing Alex sleeping so peacefully gave me relief. It meant that the herb was working.

Take My Heart

Take My Heart

After all, Athena still didn't want to sleep, she had to study late into the night in preparation for next week's exam. Time passed and Athena was absorbed in her studies. Accompanied by the sound of Alex's soft snoring that seemed to fall soundly into his sleep, perhaps due to the influence of his cold medicine. Athena yawned and glanced at the clock on the wall. It was two in the morning and she was sleepy. She glanced confusedly at Alex, who was still sound asleep on her bed. Then what should she do? Confused, Athena turned her chair around and faced the bed. Alex is fast asleep. When sleeping, the man looked very handsome. The cynical lines on his face were not visible and the man looked

Alpha VS Omega' Twin VS Twin (A Dark Werewolf Romance)

Alpha VS Omega' Twin VS Twin (A Dark Werewolf Romance)

Everything produced data if you measured it correctly. He started at cell one and worked toward cell twelve, the same order every night, clipboard in hand, checking the readings his assistants had logged since his afternoon rounds. Heart rates, transformation indicators, feeding compliance, sleep cycles. The hybrid biology expressed differently under stress than under calm conditions, and the facility provided both in rotation, which gave him a comparative dataset that no prior researcher had ever assembled. Cell four: the youngest subject, three years old, sleeping. Readings normal. Cell seven: Ash.

Mr Billionaire, I Came Back To Love You

Mr Billionaire, I Came Back To Love You

He felt happy and satisfied at the point where they were. It seems their relationship is really progressing, and it is very good, which he likes. He hugged her tightly and closed his eyes to sleep. He fell asleep very soon. The next morning... Alex was the first person to wake up in the morning; he was actually shocked to see that the day had broken. He has never slept for so long this way; he only sleeps for two hours at most, but Olivia never knew that he had difficulty sleeping. He did not tell her because she did not care about him at that point in time. He looked at Olivia, who was still deep asleep. It seems they are really compatible; he was able to sleep comfortably after he slept wi
