The old woman straightens slowly, regarding Ivy with calm. "Thank you, child." Ivy lifts the second bag; it’s heavier than it appears. "Where are you headed?" The old woman nods toward the far side of the road ahead—a proper street bustling with life, filled with engine sounds and distant chatter. "Just across. I live right there."
