Claimed By The Alpha Biker
But sleep wasn’t mercy tonight.
The dream came fast and violently.
I stood in the desert, the air thick with heat, the sand burning beneath my boots. The sky bled red, the moon swallowed by shadows. Reese stood in the distance, her back to me. Her hair whipped in the wind, her body rigid, blood dripping from her hands.
“Reese!” I called. My voice echoed, but she didn’t turn.
When she finally did, I froze.
Her eyes glowed, not red like the rogues, but something else, something blinding like molten gold laced with fire. She looked at me as though she saw straight through me, as though she wasn’t Reese at all but something older, something terrible and divine.
